Thank you! I’ve been sewing for 63 years! I started 4-H when I was 8, and of course I grew up when Home Economics was offered in high school. It’s sad for me to think of all the missed opportunities in sewing because that’s not offered anymore!

I've made a fair number of hansie and quince in quilt cotton now, if you cut the hansie 'off grain' (sideways) then you can get a size 10 out of 1.5m of quilt cotton and you end up with a long strip left over for facings and pockets for later projects. If you are in the UK and a beginner get the Uten with speed control for 150, I use pfaffs but my daughter was scared of using them so I got her a uten and I'm mildly annoyed at how good it is, it wont do multiple layers of denim but it managed corduroy and chambrey,

Since you both knit and sew, I wonder if you might do a video on fabrics from a knitter’s perspective? I’ve watched a few videos about knit fabrics but none of them seem to connect the dots between knitted fabric (stockinette, garter, double knit, etc.) and whether or not knit fabrics are the same. I’m an experienced knitter and a less experienced sewist, and I’m confused!

Knit fabrics are the same construction, just on a much smaller scale.

WARNING ❤ Quilting Cotton is narrow so double check how much fabric you will actually need. AND is Quilting cotton wide enough for each pattern piece. 😊❤😊❤
