I am a Ugandan and this is how it started in Uganda and to date we have a life President. Why I am worried is because President Ruto is tight friend of the Ugandan Dictator and I can see the same script playing out in Kenya. I think a clarity needs to be provided. You know the National Assembly has instituted the charges. So we are not sure if his resignation will free him from the trial. The jurisdiction we borrowed from, they pursued Trump even post his presidency. So if parliament borrows from there, his goose is cooked either way.
