I've had an idea for years that was originally a way for Affleck to leave with grace. Basically the movie would open with Bats, Nightwing (I know Snyder said the Robin suit was Grayson's but that's stupid so I'm going to say it was Jason's) and Batgirl going to Nanda Parbat to rescue Bruce's young son, Damien at Talia's request. While escaping back to the Batwing, Ra's catches up with them and Batman sacrifices himself so that the others can get away, taking a sword to the chest from Ra's. This would have been Affleck's heroic exit (with room to return if Ra's decides to put Bruce in the Lazarus Pit). Damien, having been raised as an assassin by the League Of Assassins, has a twisted sense of honour and duty and decides to honour his father's sacrifice by taking out Batman's enemies in Gotham. Dick manages to stop Damien before he kills anyone and can't help but see himself in Damien when he was an angry young kid. With Bruce dead, Gotham has no Batman so Dick, having spent years trying to get out from under the shadow of Batman, finds himself putting on the cowl and becoming the new Batman, with young Damien becoming Robin as a way to channel his anger and use his skills for good. It's a reversal of the usual Batman and Robin dynamic where this time it's Robin who's too serious and Batman who's trying to lighten the mood. I personally love the Dick/Damien Batman and Robin run in the comics and I think it could be a way to freshen up Batman in the movies. I actually thought Pattinson might be playing the Grayson Batman when he was first announced. Obviously the version I wrote here was done in part as a way to give Affleck a way out but the same basic premise could work for any version, particularly a version that emphasises the Bat family.

I would have Clayface be the villain. So that during the evil monologue it can be used as an exposition dump on the history of Batman and the partners he lost. From Dick Grayson(who left to be Nightwing), Batgirl(who got paralyzed and forced to retire) to Jason Todd(who was killed). I can even imagine Clayface morphing into one of The Robins to try to trick Batman and Alfred. So the whole movie would have some dark elements but i would try to keep it as more action oriented as less gritty as possible. To make it different to The Matt Reeves Batman and save the grittiness for the sequel. So that the sequel would be Under The Red Hood. Replace The Joker with Deathstroke as the assassin that kills Jason. Have it be a badass gangster/war movie.

If I were to cast anyone as an older Batman, I would cast Jim Caviezel, not just because I really liked him in The Sound of Freedom and then Person of Interest, not just because he is super-handsome, and not just because he stands 6’2” tall and has black hair turning gray and almost blue eyes and an almost square jaw, but because he is also a good person in the real world, and because he played Tim Ballard in The Sound of Freedom and John Reese in Person of Interest, he can portray Batman as a noble hero and a friend to all children.

After rewatching this video I think the best thing they could do for a post credit scene after this film is set up Jason Todd as the Red Hood as the sequel to Brave and the Bold should be Under the Red Hood I think the best way to do something different between DCU Batman and The Batman saga is make the DCU Batman projects more batfamily oriented

Oh they aren’t gone, gone. A lot of them just happened to find ways to avoid batman. As the DCU progresses though, things will start to revert back to the Hell it was. This will show that gotham really never will be healed, only temporarily bandaged.

I really love a lot of what you do here, but not a lot happens in the way of plot. I think it would help to have another Robin present, Tim would make the most sense but Dick would also be a good fit. It would also help if the movie opened with Batman putting “the last” of his rogues in Arkham, sparking the whole debate of whether he can move on. I know he’s been overused, but Joker would be well used here to reestablish the Jason tragedy and how much Joker has tortured Batman over the years. Also, I think Deathstroke’s first assault on the League should come AFTER Dick is reunited with Bruce to spread the action out better. And then for added conflict, he should bring Rose with him to the Lazarus Pit in his final assault so Bruce can see how weak she is and be reminded of Jason (who should be teased in the credits for a potential sequel based on Under the Red Hood).
