Disagree. There are no shortcuts to any sort of relationships. Take it slow as timing is everything. It is good for the mental health of both individuals. They probably build walls because they find you extremely imposing, judgemental or untrustworthy.

The immense accuracy of these videos are unnerving. This is about how uncomfortable I was to actually go on a date even though society tells us of how important dating someone has to be. And obviously, society is full of it because honestly, being alone is much more peaceful. I practically treat myself everyday and look into the mirror to compliment how awesome I look that day. I talk to myself about controversial topics and occasionally get into arguments, but the most important thing from that is the fact I still hang out with and compliment myself even after a heated debate or argument. XD

Lol, this gave me flash backs to mine and my husband's first date. I'm an Ambivert and he's a social introvert (kind of). He can handle having to talk with his coworkers and bosses, but once home he just wants to zone out with games on his phone and watching TV. But our first date, getting conversation out of him was like pulling teeth. But here we are, seven years later. Oh, and I had to ask him out because he was worried he'd read my signals wrong and that I might not actually like him.

Totally. Being an extrovert with social anxiety/depression is so confusing. You just have to like completely ignore what your head is telling you and go talk to people so your body can feel good again, even though your head has decided you hate this thing you used to love. I went on maybe 7 or 8 dates with an engineer (he was the stereotypical introverted engineer) before he could even kiss me. That was the longest I've waited for a kiss and, although I was also an introvert, I could see that he struggled even more than I, so I pulled out all the patience I had and just waited. p.s. Lollll the kissing thing: when we married, the Monsignor marrying us had not mentioned the "you may now kiss the bride" bit during rehearsal. It was a fairly formal parish, so my INTJ husband had (not unreasonably) assumed that it was being omitted. But: it wasn't omitted. Oh no. And he was not mentally prepared. So he FROZE. And I (ENFJ) had to initiate the kiss instead. Which made the whole church *howl* with laughter. 🤣

I was notified I won an award for something that was really not a big deal and just part of my job. Before I could stop my manager, she put me directly in the spotlight by sending out a broadcast email to my entire office, over 40 people. I had congratulatory emails, pop-up texts and phone calls coming in from all of my coworkers, one after another after another for several days. I was horrified and verbally just shut down. To this day, I get sick to my stomach thinking about it!

I was recently in a relationship where I was constantly initiating cause the guy was really shy. I’m used to being the introvert and feeling overwhelmed by pushy guys. I’ve stopped communicating with this shy guy because I’m worried that he really just didn’t want to spend time with me and that’s why he never initiated. Time will tell. I still prefer the shy not pushy guys.
