If It's From God, NOTHING Will Be Able To Stop It

If it's not from God, you can't force it. If it is from God, you can't stop it.
Sometimes when we want something so badly, we are willing it to happen and feel like we need to make it happen and we’re afraid of it not happening…but a truth that brings freedom is, if something is of God, NOTHING will be able to stop it. No purpose of God's can be thwarted. On the flip side, if something is not from God, nothing can force it. But guess what? You don't want to! As hard as it can be to understand, God's "no's" are for our good. I hope this Bible study from Acts chapter 5 brings you encouragement! 🤍

I didn’t even mean to click on this video and was about to change it but your words caught and held my attention. This year there’s been so much stress on me about college I’ve been torn between two places I love, I thought I knew for sure that God had called me to one and then another came up and I was stuck wondering what God’s will for me really was. Know that you do not need to fear, continue casting all your burdens on Him, as there's nothing too big for Him to carry, He cares deeply, and I have no doubt that all of what is going on, God will use to heal things in you and your family in miraculous ways. Verses like these are helping me with my struggle towards my future marriage. Allow me to preface this by pointing out that I am notorious for overthinking and not moving forward with decisions. My point is, if you think that maybe I was just being hasty, then believe that I thought of that way before making any decisions. In late December, I received a sudden urge (I believe, from God) to buy a ring. On January 4th, I asked her father for his blessing, as I wanted to propose to his daughter. He declined and said he wanted me to wait. I didn't want to, but agreed to negotiated terms anyways. Then, in the middle of February, I woke up with a strong voice in my head telling me to propose by the end of the day. I was uncertain as to who the voice belonged to, so I prayed, read up and asked for godly counsel. The Lord supplied me with more than enough confirmation that the voice was His. So I proposed, and she said yes! In two days, she asked if I was okay with having the wedding in 6 months, as in early August. Her reasoning was because of extremely convenient timing. It honestly seemed like God was moving it along at His pace, because I wanted to wait until the end of the year. I went along with her idea, so we're getting married on August 5th, 2023! Less than a month later, I was fired from my job in a way that is making it difficult to find a new job. Not only that, but I still haven't yet to tell her father. The funny thing is, I tried to tell him a few days after I was fired because I just didn't want to wait anymore. I think God protected me, because the father chose not to meet with me. In case you were wondering how her father doesn't know, it's because her family situation became "a little weird" in mid-January, about 2 weeks after I originally asked him for his blessing. I don't think God plans on changing the date, seeing as even though I'm worried about many things right now, the actual wedding itself gives me peace when I think about it. I'm pretty sure it's the indescribable peace of God in Philippians 4:7. The Lord is also giving my fiance an extreme amount of confidence for the whole situation. I think what God is doing right now is training me to be a better future husband who can humble himself and still lead his family, with Jesus as the cornerstone.

Wow Kaci, I am 60 years old and a pastor's wife and pastor's daughter. 2 of your short video that lip synced rap made me laugh out loud and I sent them to my 5 daughters. This week I listened to your share on Proverbs 6, 7 things God hates. The Holy Spirit almost knocked my socks off. It powerfully addressed something going on at our church. I used it to prayerfully examine the hearts of my husband and myself. But it was SO white hot 🔥 like a poker that had been long in the fire that I was afraid to touch it in terms of how to handle this Word carefully. It is meant to help and not hurt one another. The Sword of the Spirit is meant to fight the dark powers not to pierce each other or knock each other over the head! THEN, I open this teaching and AGAIN what your share in scripture powerfully speaks to what is happening at our church. I would like to give the credit and thanks n praise to the Holy Spirit. Thank you for being a faithful, servant/vessel of His Word and Spirit and His gifting and calling. Keep humble as you give the Lord the glory, my young sister in Christ. That is a safeguard for you. Sometimes We know what God tells us to do but still there will be people who will try to convince you that you should take the situation into your own hands. I have people telling me that I should make things happen, when I tell them that God is telling me to trust and wait. I can't tell you how much it bugs me to hear other Christian personalities on youtube talking about "don't miss God's calling for your life" and I'm just sitting here like "that's not really a thing dude." I think a lot of times some of us forget that God is all knowing/all powerful and no one cares more about seeing God's plan for your life succeed more than God. I know after receiving my first prophetic word (and definitely after hearing it confirmed a few years later), I started getting insecure thinking "I'm not doing enough. What if it passes me by?" The truth is "every word of the Lord proves true" [Proverbs 30:5] and "God is not a human that He should lie or change His mind" [Numbers 23:19]. If God said that He was going to do it...He's going to do it.

I also like your suggestions on if I strongly want something and try to make it happen myself it may not happen. The takeaway where if something is of man, it will come to nothing, but if it is from God nothing will be able to stop it. Would appreciate prayer. I have had such a challenging time in this season of the last 5 years in having faith…in desiring God, and wanting to read. Being hungry and thirsty. Then I had our daughter 2 years ago- and I literally get hardly ANY time to read and spend time. I’ve tried many times to get up before our little girl…and she somehow seems to know and gets up earlier. Now we are in the middle of our 2nd cross country move in the last two years. I need Him. I need a new encounter with Him.

Have you tried audio bible or sermons playing in the background as you go about your day? Praying on the move and also just praying over your daughter too might be good. You could go as far as asking God to let her sleep in a little longer so you could have quiet time with him lol. You'll be surprised at how God could answer such prayers. Just don't give up on asking and trying to make things work

That's the million dollar question I'd like to think all believers have. It says in his word that the spirit of truth abides in us and guides us as wellcas teach us all things. It also says in psalms in all my ways I acknowledge him and he directs my path. I take those to heart and acknowledge God for every little thing and when I don't know I either wait and keep seeking or I step out in faith and try it out because the way I see it God know my heart he knows I only want to do his will and so imcexpecting him to shut the door if it's not, but either way I just don't believe God is going tonhave us running around like a chicken with there head cut off on what we should do and love that if I do take a wrong turn like a GPS hell easly redirect me back on coarse. I hope this helps.

Kaci: I liked your nugget of wisdom referencing that "...that which is true will stand the test of time." When you begin finding other Bible verses (like Job 42:2) that uphold your findings, God is definitely claiming His promises to His people. God can do all and our plans may not be in our time, but always in His. Tho we may not understand the lengthy process or closed doors, He has the capability to turn it around and bless it for His will and diving purpose, in His time. Love your devotions. Blessings.
