@wedoalittletrolling723 man, I don't know about "ancient." Seems like it's meant to take place in a Minecraft world where everyone's met up and built up a society. On another note, I'm not too fond of Game Theory's Minecraft lore. Sure, he explains some lore pretty well, like the ways souls can be harnessed and manipulated (especially through the use of lapis), a sort of dark arts that the Illagers commit. Though, there's just some things I don't like, for example, how the number of pillars in an Ocean Monument somehow ties back to the Islamic religion (?). The whole point in a Minecraft world is that you get to make up the world's lore as you play (which is especially encouraged with all features introduced in the Trails and Tales update), and MatPat trying to make definitive about EVERY single detail (including ones that don't really matter all that much) seems like it's all about making the content, although making this content isn't necessarily a bad thing, as this is all clearly done as a passion project. Why did I write this much
