That could be due to the company running a scam to inflate the rating. They will list a product, get some good reviews and then they will replace the product, description, photos with something else using the same page. That way the review ratings are kept. A lot of people don't bother reading all the reviews, just the very top ones and look at the star average.

This is especially true with computer printers. It's 50% one star reviews and 50% five star reviews with no in-between. I give the shopping experience one star and I'd give it zero if I could. Just terrible.

@@bucketofsunshine6366 I think the reasoning for that is that if someone is very unsatisfied with a product, they'll be more likely to write a review and express their opinion. Those having a great time with the product won't even bother giving it a review.

I always check the 1 and 5 star reviews and see which ones seem more realistic 😂 if all 1 star reviews mention the same issue then I won't buy it. If all 5 star reviews seem to praise it a bit too much, I don't trust their reviews fully 😂

My brother's used bookstore got a 1 star because "it was too organized." Apparently being able to find what you're looking for takes away all of the challenge. The reviewer made sure to mention that the bookstore he used to frequent back when he was a student at Duke University was so much more fun and quirky.

This is actually nice to see, because I always feel so guilty about how long and detailed my posts are. I rarely ever write reviews, but when I have to, I always feel so guilty and incompetent because I can't seem to write it in a concise way. I find it difficult to shorten it without losing information that I think should be included. So, this is nice to see lol.

@@AniWho268Oh man. As an INFJ with the exact same problem, I get it. It honestly makes my life harder sometimes. Wondering how everyone around me writes summarized and concise things, meanwhile I’m dragging things out for myself and I can’t seem to help it. But there’s definitely a place for us, and while it may seem like a weakness it just shows our ability to understand things on a whole different level. Which this world needs just as much as concision, no more and no less.

As a person who reads reviews, I agree with everything in this video! 😂 My favorite is reading bad reviews on hotels. I read one review that left a 1 star just because the furniture was a little too outdated for their preference. Or the people who leave 1 star because the weather was bad 😂 Hotel reviews should 100% be the next video in this series 😂

@@sarahberkner There's a review of (I think) Ben Nevis that no-one can work out if it's real or a joke - it's hilarious though! Basically it's complaining that there's a lot of difficult walking (it's a mountain); there's no facilities at the top (unlike Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa); and it was foggy when they eventually got to the top, so the view was rubbish and then they still had to walk down again!

When I couldn't get my toaster to do anything at all last week...I fell heavily to the kitchen floor in sobbing despondency. You can thus imagine my sheer joy when I realized that it wasn't working b/c I had, like, simply unplugged it to use the outlet for something else... Hallelujah! 1 Star: I specifically told my mail carrier that I would be leaving for vacation on Friday. The idiot forgot - again! - and left the package sitting there on my front porch. This is the third time he's done that. It was left to sit out there all weekend and ended up being stolen by a porch pirate, so I'll never know whether the toaster is any good or not. This is so infuriating, I'd give zero stars if I could!

Depending on the item Target reviews are some of the best. So honest, and critical.😅 They do not hold back. But my true favorites are apartment complexes and post office reviews. Just pick a state/city at random, absolutely hilarious.
