Just as Benjamin suggested, the diameter should've been significantly wider with Storm Shadow. The ultra-precise and ridiculously agile GLSDB has roughly a fourth of the warhead weight, which nonetheless is perfectly sufficient for its intended tasks.

storm shadows - no doubt - this is a heavily reinforced concrete structure, hugley over designed perhaps to counter poor construction practises and poor supervision etc - in-situ concrete probably. Kerch bridge on the other hand is precast - designed for low weight in order to allow heavy lift to proceed, in theory, Kerch will get more damage from the equivalent hit as well. Im impressed with that bridge when you normally consider soviet construction is shoddy.

that missile was a stormshadow and apparently one of the cons about the stormshadows is the bang in the warhead , the pro been its range , but still very effective , a video clip of it hitting the bridge was definatley the nose shape of the stormshadow and debris found had french serial numbers and markings , it was british/french missile program , so definate stormshadow

GLSDB with a range of 150km Was announced and said by June or early summer, only needed the M26 rockets x-rayed and verified to still be good and the GBU-39's are already made. Only a bracket for the two was needed and Saab and Boeing worked on this a while ago and was tested etc.. The way it sounded was only needing the M26 x-rayed and verified and them showing "Storm Shadow" markings to me was fake

Ground Launced Small Diameter Bombs (GLSDBs) took out this bridge. These are basic small bombs used to be carried by NATO jets, but equipped with small unfolding wings and a high precision GPS supporting the INS-guidance, fired from HIMARS and M270 launchers. With a range of ca 150 km, they seems to fit perfectly. with a 16 kg of insensitive explosives they do make a nice hole of at least 1 meter depth in reinforced concrete. Seems a good fit.

There is frame by frame video of the missile incoming and it appears both larger diameter than GLSDB, and to have a different wing configuration than GLSDB. The wing configuration and girth are a much better match for Storm Shadow.

Storm Shadow hit the bridge. The first impact and explosion made the hole but the secondary explosive part missed the bridge support below! Hence the bridge section didn't collapse

- no need to hit the columns - just the spans. Due to the nature of the spanning structure it is still there. But a few more hits would take it out for a few days at least, if russia has the means to span for heavy vehicles, failing that, it can be easily reconnected for cars, etc

For me the funniest part of the bridge strike was that immediately after the strike the Russians released a video showing there were no vehicles on it, Some hours later a video appeared showing numerous upside down cars along the length of the bridge, all having landed on the pedestrian handrail without even denting it, and one of the cars clearly had no engine or driveshaft to the differential on the rear axle.

that bridge damage speaks volumes about the task in hand dropping the kerch bridge , they dont come down easy with all reinforced concrete with rebar and huge pillars , i would be thinking that kerch bridge needs something like a 1000lb jdam or something because a couple of stormshadows or a couple of atacms are probably a waste of time

IMy brother in law is a bridge engineer, he designs bridges. He told me that it is the unseen damage that can be a problem. He says that parts of the Kerch will fail in the next few years, apparently the pilings are not deep enough, something echoed by Russian engineers at the time of construction. A bridge near my house was closed down last year because it was near collapse, only emergency vehicles could cross it and only one at a time. Now it is closed to all traffic, there are so many bridges that are near to failing in the US its kinda crazy.

There’s frame by frame video of the bridge attack and you can clearly see it was a missile. It appears to be 2-3m long and 0.5m diameter. The explosion looks like typical military high-explosives, little flame, big shock wave. The damage to bridge is consistent with a small to medium sized missile/bomb or even heavy artillery. The video is all over the web. I’m sure you can find it.
