In a one on one fight Ukraine is no match for Russia. Putin weigh the consequences and felt it was worth the risk. Unfortunately he did not count on all the support the world gave Ukraine. When he saw this he shoukd had immediately cut off supply chains and worked to bring this war to a close immediately. But it's dragging out to the point that it's too late. If he pulls out he would be considered weak for falling to pressure and if he stays then he will lose more and more resources, money, etc. So he's in a losing scenario.

Not only that there was a spectrum of calculations made before deciding how much help to give and when to do it. I wont judge the decisions made on how the response is being put into effect but I will say the way things are portrayed based on who is putting it out is comical if you have a half decent sense of the state of the world. News does not matter where it comes from remember they are always shining a light on what ever they want you to look at. If you want a honest perspective on "news" do your own independent research from multiple sources that have different and opposing perspectives. Dig deep and realize that what ever is being shown to you is probably only a half truth based on what ever they want to tell you. Then I realized, either we fight them, or we don't exist anymore. Edit: actually when I think about it, I was always like: why do we need to fight, can't we just live in peace.
