The original song is called "unholy" because the subject of the lyrics is an adulterer. They are refering to his cheating as unholy which is an accurate statement and in no way goes against christianity. Heres a quote on religion from the original artist: "With religion, it’s just been a thing that I never even had a chance to fit into, because religion never accepted [me.] When I was a kid and all my friends would go to [receive] Communion ... I was never a part of it. It was just never an option for me. But I still was curious and wanted to know. I think religion was really the first thing where it was like, OK, I am not wanted or accepted here, and I’m on my own. And the song ("If Jesus Was A Rockstar") is kind of a thought of, well, if everyone was equal and accepted in spirituality, then maybe I would have wanted to be a part of it and maybe I’d be a different person. But also, I found my own version of spirituality through that. It’s honestly about ... I wish everyone got treated the same.” The song shes refering to there could also be interpreted different ways. I take it as just sort of like a modern version of that What If God Was One Of Us song.

@@englishatheart Interesting, so many ppl aren't even even aware of the grammar difference, btwn "it's" & "its." (Which is 1 of the top 15 most commonly used words in English language.) I believe that they took out the apostrophe specifically for its use as a possessive, in the 1800s or so, as it was making it harder to distinguish btwn possessive use, or when being used for past/present tense (it is/it has.) I too, used to make that mistake a LOT. They say it's 1 of the most common mistakes. It's 1 of the very few words that don't have an apostrophe, when being used as a "possessive" term. So, I could see why ppl so easily make that mistake still. 🤷🏼

Chills, Chills, Chills! Woah so awesome! It's on repeat and not just because of the beat. I was just thinking not to long ago about how if these awful lyric songs could speak The Lord's truth how we might be ok. I'm a lyric kind of listener to music so when I hear a song I want to know the lyrics. For one to know how the artist is feeling and what am I hearing and what am I sing along to. Some of these poor kids don't even know what they are hearing/saying or conjuring up. Great Work!! Awesome!! Don't Stop!! Please!!

Becka Shae is like Lady wisdom calling in the streets- proverbs! Awsome! ❤ Such a catchy song but the original lyrics made me feel sad and sickened how anti-family and pro-deception and pro-affair the song actually is, nothing about the original lyrics is positive or life giving!
