may Allah be pleased with u ya sheikh i have a serious question, i am diagnosed with adhd and one of my symptoms is a messy house i have learned control over emotional outbursts but to get out of bed even some days is the biggest struggle, i go to therapy, make dua and take my meds but keeping my own room clean as im still only a teenager is even hard. its so overwhelming to think that one day i will have to keep a who’s house clean, i dont want to be a burden on my husband but i am afraid he’ll look at me as a burden what should i do?

You’ll get better at it with slight changes in your habits in sha Allah sister. Most importantly make dua for an understanding and supportive husband. I know marriage seems scary before getting married but if you have a supportive spouse that’s the best thing ever Alhamdulillah. Plus, humans are very adaptive to their environment. When the time comes and you have the responsibility of maintaining a house, you’ll adapt to it in sha Allah. Keep making dua. I’ll also recommend reading these two books: Atomic Habits and The Folding Lady
