If the Denver Broncos Don't Draft a QB...

The Denver Broncos have the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. They are in desperate need of a franchise quarterback. But what if the Broncos don't take a QB in the 1st round?
Could they take Jared Verse? What about Joe Alt? Brock Bowers could be awesome! Maybe the Broncos want another great cornerback like Quinyon Mitchell? No one really knows the direction Sean Payton, George Paton, and the Denver Broncos are going to take with their first-round draft pick, but rest assured they will find the best player to improve the team.

I don't love the idea of tackle at 12 because they likely won't see the field in year one. We need an impact player who can start right away if they are picked that high.

My big issue with taking a CB at 12 is twofold. One, we have spent 10 out of our last 34 picks on DBs. We have to quit trying to build from the outside in. The other issue I see is if that kid hits we will be looking at $50M/yr at least I'm 2 CBs when his contract comes due. I can't think of a team that is built that way successfully. Other than that I pretty much agree with all of your points.

Lucas Krull I think could surprise the staff this mini camp. PPS. I'm also sick of watching Mock drafts and I'm still hoping we draft down. Maybe with the Rams. Grab a 2nd RD pick and grab Nix in the 2nd RD.

I like your thinking. If Bowers falls to 12 it's a no Brainerd. Take him. If not select any of the others you mentioned. All are a position of need. Edge. OT, Wr. Bowers or Thomas would likely improve Stidham by 3 fold.

i love the vid. the only objection i would give is that i don’t think we should take a tackle or a corner in round 1. i still think the front office is all in on bolles and mcglinchey for this year at least. also when you look at what the front office traded to trade up for riley moss last year, i think it’s safe to say they want to see him play across from PS2 this year. if i was the Sean Payton if top 4 qbs are off the board by 12 i’d trade down to the early-mid 20’s and take either byron murphy or johnny newton. we need more beef on the defensive front and i think either one could step in an instantly be an upgrade for our defense. once we pick defense i think with the 2nd i got from a trade back i’d package it to move up to the early second to take bo nix or michael penix. then with the remaining picks i’d build around our qb, and adding depth and taken to our defensive unit. we have a lot of needs but i think with a well played draft, we can turn this franchise around.

I say pick up Brock Bowers at 12th spot, than get rid of one of our 3 pics in 3th round ( A long with WR, Courtland Sutton) to get in the second round to pick-up Michael Pratt or Spencer Rattler! --- Also, pick up the other quarterback you didn't get the second round.😉👍
