I think Aiden may shock the world this coming season. He will have some rocky games as all QBs do. Hoping he and the team come together and start gelling at the end of the season heading into the playoffs. It really feels like it’s possible, almost like it’s expected. I think we may have a feel good story brewing here. Loving this team since 77’! Such an exciting season coming up here. This is Gruden circa 2000 and Bo Jackson era exciting.

I argue Mayers TD vs the Jets was impact-wise the most memorable TD since Crabtrees gane winner vs KC or Ronald Curry vs Denver in the snow. Lots of TD's since but those were all statement TD's

I don't think the AOC12 sample size is enough to make the assumption he's NOT a bona-fide franchise QB. Obviously it's not enough to say he is either, but there's also flashes that suggest he has the physical arm talent & smarts to crack the top 16 starting QBs maybe higher.

We always get pumped before the season starts and have high expectations but the truth is that when the games begin and we see what we have against NFL teams is when we can judge this team and not before. As for the schedule goes, if the raiders can beat the chargers in week 1 and go to Baltimore and play a close game, I really think that they will have a lot of confidence starting the season and see no reason why they can't be 5-1 after 6 weeks, Very good possibility

Game 2 is going to be really important we should beat the Bolts in a fairly tight game and if we can manage to beat Balt. the confidence that'll propel us to a good season. I like that we play a team like that early on our system on offense should still be a bit of a mystery and our defense should enable us to steal that game.

The defense looking good in this scenario means absolutely nothing. They have the same defensive coordinator, the same players with the added pro bowler and they are going against the offense that is learning to install itself. A practice squad defense can look good at this point lol. However I do have a lot of Hope for this defense as they looked good after AP took over and let Graham do his job. Still worried about the opposite cornerback side of Jack Jones and there's no guarantee Jones will be good this year

Telesco is big on depth as he should be look at all the injuries he dealt with at SD and from guys with mostly no injury history in college. I love the approach to team building for the last 3 years hate on Josh all you want but he started that approach and it's starting to pay off. Getting a QB sometimes involves a great deal of luck look at SF maybe we got lucky too with AOC. Josh brought a lot of veteran, proven help in the scouting dept. and adults all over the staff and Telesco will continue that it's how he rolls this is the best roster since the early 2000s. We have holes every team does, but we have strengths as well and more of them than holes for once.

If the defense is as good as I think it could be and the offense takes a step forward we can win 10-12 games. I think it all hinges on the 0-line we had to keep too many guys in to block and our RBs and TEs suffered for it in the passing game. You can't have your RBs and TEs chipping all game long you need to be able to block 4 guys with 5 for long enough to open up the field for your WRS so they can clear some space for your underneath guys. You also have to have at least a threat to run the ball that opens up the field for your deeper game we struggled all year to do those things our defense kept us in our games last year. If we even have a decent pro offense this year we can be good. This is probably the best roster since the early 2000s if we keep team building like we've been the last 3 years we'll become a good football team.

Another thing stop it with the qb's not being great, you dont know that for a fact. AOC will start and surprise people. He's very accurate and has an arm. He got better as the season went, 1000 yards with 8 td and 1 int the last five games.

while it is true QB play has a lot to do with Meyer's performance last year, it was the previous head-coach's fault of why he underperformed. you can see that towards the end of the season, when that coach was fired, Meyer's play/stats improved as well as many other players/coaches

I just hope that all those screens and short distance throws are used to open up the deep ball. We need to beable to stretch the field. That's key to our success on offense. The run game and the pass game have to compliment each other. The coordination of the offense has to be strategic. And definitely have to continue using Jakobis versatility with throwing the ball

It think thats the plan, other than that it would pointless to keep Tre Tucker or draft Bowers. Both can “take the top off”. I mean Davante gets open deep too but more so for his routes than speed

@RellyBo30 speed isn't just for deep routes. Having Bowers and Tucker isn't specifically for that. Both of them are great players and they add more than just a threat down the field. This comment wasn't about the players, it was about this scheme. Westcoast offense requires the QB to get the ball out fast. But nonatter what, we have to take our shots down field

@@SteadyMo66in I agree, speed isn’t a one dimensional skill. Bowers and Tucker can clearly win across both the middle & outside. Bowers is a great TE but he’s new, and has to adjust to NFL-level play while building a flow with his QB. Tucker hasn’t developed his knowledge of the route tree like Adams has ‘yet’. He’s our best Z receiver & Meyers is our second option. Every OC keeps it simple in their first year with a team.

@@SanjitT I agree 100% on TEs not producing the first season or two, but a lot players need at least 3 seasons to show if they’re a bust or not. I just remember you being super excited on draft day when the pick came in, then super negative on the Mayer pick a few days later. From what I remember, he was the #1 TE on most of the boards (I thought he was the most complete TE that draft/#1) & #2 on the others, so getting a 1st round talent in the 2nd ain’t that bad. But, I’m a TE guy (that didn’t sound right), I’ve loved 12 personnel ever since Joe Gibbs ran it on the Redskins in the 80s. He won 3 Super Bowls with 3 different QBs, reason I don’t like the idea of giving up the farm to move up in the top 5 for a QB

@@jamesBrian-lu4kj If we keep team building like a normal functional franchise, we'll have a good roster like we do now. This is the best roster we've had since the early 2000s and if the defense is as good as I think it can be and our offense steps up and is at least decent, we can have a good season. If the QB situation doesn't work out we'll still win 8-10 games because of the defense then it's back to the drawing board for next year trying to get a QB. It's frustrating for sure but I like the approach to proper team building and it's been 3 years now and it shows. We need to get a break and who knows maybe it's AOC you never know.

Ruggs was no criminal just a young guy who f*cked up big time I wasn't all that responsible at that age either. I wasn't that stupid though some of these athletes aren't very bright or came from bad family situations. Ruggs will be back in the NFL soon I think. What a waste he could have been the best WR in that draft but we'll never get to see that because KC will end up signing him instead because they don't give a f*uck. I would resign Ruggs in a heart beat it wouldn't have any effect on revenue at all. Someone will give him another chance and might hit a HR.

The difference between Gruden and Mcdaniels where they were the head coach and brought guys into fit their system. It's OTAs and the defense usually does better than the offense early especially if it's a new offense and a lot of returning players on defense. We even have the DC as last year with a brand new offense and that's a pretty good defense too.
