There is a type of therapy like this without all of the cursing. It's called Gestalt therapy and the type of Gestalt therapy in this video is called confrontation where the therapist straight up tells the client about him/herself without sugar-coating anything.

I had a therapist that was like this and told me I wasnt mentally ill and told me I'm aware of everything I do and I can go to jail. Which 2 years later I gone to jail for 3 months nearly getting life in prison but got a better deal and plead guilty for something I couldn't help back then. If your wondering I use to have major anger issues. But Im such different man in a better way and I can't even fathom some of the most insane shit I remember.

I use to feel like nobody could help me and lost hope. But I feel jail showed me how I took life for granted and I didn't realize that life could be a lot worse than it was back then. In a messed up way I think jail saved my life especially because I got the right help and people actually took me seriously.

I only went to therapy twice, it never happened again after the 2nd session. I’m not sure if therapists are thinking honestly in the back of their head like this towards us. I like to have an improved mental health. But in the same time I don’t want drugs

Therapist, don’t necessarily prescribe medications, one might ask you to seek a psychiatrist for medications but if therapist is a good therapist if you ask to not go the medication route they shouldn’t even mention again unless you ask. Not saying you should go to therapy cuz it’s not for everyone but if it’s small things you might not know that steers you away I’d be willing to answer some questions I’ve been in therapy for 3 years and honestly it didn’t feel like it was really working until recently

i agree with the reply above in everything except - who wouldn't benefit from having 30-60mins a week focused only on you & your own wants & needs? lol my recommendation for any considering or starting therapy: do not be afraid to ariana grande these therapists cuz not every professional is your match. i had to "thank you, next!" 6 different therapists before i found the bomb ass chick who helped me open up honestly, examine myself and start some truly grounding work. i didn't feel comfortable being honest with the first 6 or felt judgment from them or there was just an emptiness or disconnect. when i found this woman, we vibed from the jump - but it took a few months of failed attempt and not being afraid to get back on the bike and try again to get the right one. you are absolutely worth the investment and you are worthy of someone's focus & care to be centered around you❤
