We have raised our 9 children on Venison of every kind, our own beef, Pigs and Chickens as well. I guess long before, Good channels like yours was on the Tube, for us all to enjoy, Our 5 boys and 4 girls took their turns getting meat for the freezer, Fleshing and tanning the hides, then what was left to the dogs, nothing wasted. I have heard the arguments over the years, Why do you teach your children to kill these poor animals? I told them, because it would be better to hunt these animals for food and other needs that we had, than skin and eat them! They never really understood my humor? lol. We also taught them Respect and Gratitude for the sacrifice these creatures made to us, and that God provided for our sustenance. As one having Cree blood, It is and was a big part of our lives. You have great Children, Credit to them and to the environment that You and Rose raised them in. Kudos and all the best, Who knows maybe when we get back to our off grid place on the Southside of Francois Lake, we may host you folks on a Bear Hunt out here. Cheers and take good care.

I always look forward to your videos! Great shot, Christina, even though you were freezing! Your family's smiles could brighten any day and any situation. I really like how you all take time to enjoy the beauty of nature and God's creation while you are out hunting, fishing, prospecting, or whatever you may be doing. Even though you are surrounded by it every day, you still take time to breathe it all in and enjoy it. I'm WAY south of you in the state of Kansas, and we're experiencing very high temps for this time of year, so I'm not freezing during deer season right now, like you all are! God bless your family, stay warm and healthy, and keep the vids coming when possible!

Haha, nice doe. I can relate to the perseverance part... Started big game hunting kind of late in life & have yet to connect with a deer, yet their urban cousins think my yard is their personal range lol. Couple buddies & I have been fortunate on Moose & Elk LEH hunts in the last few years though. The work really starts after the animal is down. Makes one appreciate the meal so much more. ;-b Although I come home empty handed almost always (other than fish & waterfowl) I truly enjoy being up in the mountains away from some of the nonsense surrounding us in our 'civilized' world. I wasn't able to get out very much this year but did get some ducks & saw a magnificent cow moose up close on my favourite Alpine lake. ;-) Also bumped a huge bull earlier this fall but he disappeared fairly quick & it wasn't Moose season at the time haha. Limited to spike bulls in Region 8 anyhow. Sure gets the heart rate up when you see such a magnificent beast. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5XbZWuKitqoqZI

Stores sell those foot and hand warmers that you can put in your gloves and boots. The foot warmers are designed for heating with less O2, so are much warmer if used like hand warmers.
