That's awesome that you had the engine rebuilt to proper hp.! For this 70's muscle car. I seen one of these for the first time in 1985 at a car show. I thought it looked awesome, but when I knew these cars only had 200 hp factory. What a let down. I mean my 1969 Chevelle Malibu with a 307 2bbl, 2spd powerglide, when I bought it in 1983, had the same rating. So glad you had the vision to increase the hp, it's still a matching number car. Just more enjoyable to drive today.! It has the muscle, to back up the great styling.!!

I really liked this car the first time I saw it in 44 years in the US even though I used to have a Pontiac TransAm 79 at 1985. Listening to the story makes me understand why I have never seen this type of car before. Thank you for sharing so interesting.👍

My father and brother both worked for pontiac I was blessed to be brought up with these cars I now own a 1970 GTO of my father's and my brother's 1973 Lemans sport I was in the middle of buying a Can Am under payments when the gentleman call me to come over to the house to talk when I got there the garage and car had burned to the ground Got my money back from him still offered to still buy it as is And he told me it be almost impossible to restore do to lack of parts great video Thanks for sharing my Pop told me if the spoiler. Mold was fixed it would have been a great seller for pontiac

Beautiful Can Am i always had a soft spot for pontiacs i remember as a kid my dad had a le man's and I had a 1977 Chevrolet Malibu when I first got my driver's license

As far as I know there are none being made in reproduction as this is the reason the car was such a limited production car. If someone was to get one from someone's car and make a mold and start producing them then they might be able to sell them?
