As much as Denis nails Pete Steele's voice, and he totally does, let's also take a moment to recognize his excellent selection of covers. Pete used to do a lot of covers, and they were always songs that expressed a sentiment that he could relate to, but that sounded nothing like Type O's music. And the songs Denis chooses are songs you could totally see Pete covering on a Type O Neg album, if he were still alive and dropping them.

maybe i jus havent listened to the right song yet, but this is like 99.99999% spot on PERFECT! the ONLY teeny tiny thing these Type O Style covers are missing would be those unexpected lil magical Josh Silver keyboard jams, in lieu of or as the prelude to guitar solos maybe not so much on their recorded albums, but in SO many of the live performance videos, Josh Silver absolutely kills it with the most melodic, unexpected, jammy-as-heck ditties on the keyboard to begin the breakdown, leading into the guitar solos keyboards... most underrated member of any great band
