LOL, in all my playthroughs it has never occurred to me to just choose violence at the stage where the Maelstromers tell you to sit on the couch. I always just sort of assumed you would like fail the mission or something if you didn't get the deal set up right. But I forgot this is Cyberpunk where the penalty for going cyberpsycho is usually just a fixer sounding disappointed in you
