It absolutely blows my mind that anyone would consider Trump or Biden in 2024, but here we are... We're being boxed in and forced to choose a "lesser evil" option yet again. Trump was a lesser evil to Clinton. After seeing 4 years of Trump, Biden became a lesser evil to Trump. Now we've seen 4 years of Biden, and we're given a Trump choice? Reminds me of the George W Bush gaffe of early 2000s "trick me once, shame on you...." We need to push congress to pass an amendment, that no-one beyond retirement age is allowed to be considered for any official position. How? No idea. They're all old farts. None of them will vote for such a change, that will end up kicking them out of the office. I don't agree with quite a few things Nikki Hailey stands for, but one thing she has nailed for sure "The party that gets rid of their 80-year-old candidate is gonna be the party that wins." The whole 'Primary' system is wrong and a waste of time. The best way is to have 1 election - with RANK choice voting. First candidate acceptable to 50% voters wins. Second change needed - if you keep the Electoral College - at least make it semi-democratic. By that I mean apportion the delegates based on the percentage of vote won instead of 'winner take all'. Right now no-one bothers about what people in California or New York think (in terms of the Presidential election) because they know these are 'blue' states. It doesn't matter if you win 40% or 1% of the vote as all 100% of the delegates go to the Dems anyway. Same with the 'red' states. So what happens is the whole Presidential election is about appeasing the voters in 7 or 8 'swing' states - with perhaps less than 20% of the population. How can that be the right way to decide what is right for the COUNTRY?
