I think this is my first comment on your channel. I have been wtching for about two years. Let Jason know that his input is important and adds to the content. I live in Minn. about two miles from the Wi. indians nose. I have 20 acres of hay ground. I have been watching you hoping to get some information about fertilizing, reseeding and other stuff. I have all old equipment and keeping it working seems to be a bigger job than actually making hay. This year is the earliest I have ever been able to get into the field. With the 2.5 feet of snow pack practically melting in a week and no frost in the ground things dried up fast. We had 106" of snowfall this year. I badly need to fertilize and reseed but I don't make any money from the hay and with the costs where they are it's tough to throw money at it. Keep up the posts and thanks.

I’ll definitely relay the message!!!! He’s got a wealth of knowledge if I can jus catch it on camera!!!! I’m trying to convince him to do a LIVE next week or so when we have a moment to breathe. He likes those Q&As style videos better for sure

Keep you a small bottle of some kind of baby powder or foot powder, etc. in your AI box just a little bit makes a huge difference in putting your arm in a glove on humid days

I love how you two are tag-teaming with the cutting of the hay job. Nice. I love hearing the cows mooing as they don't know what's up. All those kitties are so awesome. 25k bales, nice. Man that baler is so clean when he was greasing it but it won't be long - I can hardly wait. Go, Kayla and Jason. They are a good-looking couple. AI is a real puzzler for me, just watching Jason doing it makes me happy somebody knows what he's doing. Kayla, don't poke the bear too much, about the skips and such, he might point out ........... lol.

Just a word of encouragement to Jason in that he is an ocean of knowledge that could help less experienced farmers. He has fine oratory skills and hopefully will rise to the occasion. Both of you have beautiful parenting abilities and I hope farmer's who treat their kids as free help notice the difference. Maranatha, mtf🕆

Thanks for tagging along with us !!!! We’re blessed with the hay we have so far. Trying to get to it as fast as we can before the summer heat hits it. ESP if we keep staying this dry.

Farming is harder than the regular person will know. It can become very frustrating also.

Yes it can / I don’t think many understand the stress that comes with it.

I’m curious if you’ve noticed loss of her this year due to drought?

Yea - some fields are 1/2 or 2/3s of the hay we typically get off them for first cut - - adding fertilizer definitely saved it - but it only can go so far if we don’t get some rain. We had a half inch yesterday (6.10.23) at the house - a very much needed blessing for that corn silage.
