I still wish we could have had this beautiful hymn at our son's funeral. He was just 29. I come here often to hear this beautiful and one of my favorite hymns. I believe in A Capella singing. Eph 5:19 & Col. 3:16. It's more beautiful without an added instrument of humanity to me. So thankful these good people recorded this here. So many love it.

What a blessing...Many of the churches I attended in childhood often did not have a pianist and I remember well how my heart was moved in those days with the Acapella singing. I want a place near these beautiful voices in Heaven. Today's megachurches...forget about it! Most of them are hard rock and the message of salvation and praise to God is lost. What a disgrace!

(44) 🌺🌹💐🌺🌹💐🌹🌺

We sang this on Sunday. We are a small congregation, and I can't remember if we've sung this besides in get togethers in homes. I'm a soprano, usually. The alto lead was what the song leader sang. I wasn't confident at all in my singing. So I'm using this to practice and get my part down. We sing acapella too, Church of Christ. For all the reasons mentioned. There's no example of instruments in the New Testament, and we're commanded to sing, that's all.

AMEN!!!! "wasn't confident at all in (YOUR) singing"????. From here on, don't feel that way again!!!!! "Sing & make melody in your heart". I assure you THAT is the JOYFUL NOISE that we are told to make to THE LORD!!!! It brings me to happy tears to hear such beautiful singing as THE LORD D O E S command us in the New Testament. This proves what the LORD knew & inspired in the NEW TESTAMENT, Acapella is so much more beautiful than with instruments when praising our HEAVENLY FATHER, the LORD GOD YHWH & his son, our savior, the LORD JESUS who is the CHRIST, the MESSIAS. "Sing & Make Melody in Your Heart". Thankfully the Metasimons are still true to this scripture. Sadly even some Churches of Christ are now disobeying this New Testament law. So beautiful to hear THE LORD praised in song....Acapella!!!! R.O.B./

@BarryCollins1963 I believe Psalms is found in the old testament.The OLD law. Do you still have someone to Roll over your sins for a year, Or did Jesus Christ pay for all our sins, If you have a problem with that ,Just read Hebrew in the new Testament it explains about how the new law replaced Mose's law!

Beautiful song. Well done. You DO realize that in the Greek the word used for psalms in Eph. 5:19 actually means to sing accompanied by a stringed instrument? I agree with sga. While I prefer not to use instruments, scripture does not seem to tell us that using them in worship is a sin, any more than using podiums, video cameras, or song books. All that being said, what a wonderful and well done song!!
@randyo.bowling19076 жыл бұрын
Not true: Actually the Greek in Ephesians 5:29 states, verbatim, "speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and songs spiritual, singing and psalming with the heart of you, to the LORD." Acapella.

in the new testament we are encouraged to sing songs and hymns and spiritual songs. nowhere in the new testament are musical instruments ever mentioned. psalms is in the old testament and under the old jewish law which changed to the new covenant when Christ died on the cross.musical instruments in worship are a man made doctrine or idea. mankind has decided that music sounds great in worship.
