My choir instructor handed this out to my home school choir just after I got back from Canada. I was there because of my grandpa's memorial service. This song made me so much happier! It helped me remember how excited my grandpa was to get to heaven! He was ready and I'm almost certain He's praising God right now!

I was raised in the Church of Christ. All my life I’ve sung this song. Only in the past nine weeks have I repeated the phrase over and over. Rioting, destruction, ugliness, political battles, more and more bad news. I was letting myself get so stressed about it. I can’t do anything about it and I was getting more and more upset. Then I remembered this song, this line that reminds me that all of this is temporary. Whatever happens in this physical world it’s temporary. “This world is not my home, I’m just a’passing through...” Remember that, dwell on God’s love and grace, not man’s battles. It gives me peace. God is in charge, and He’s forever. “I DON’T KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS. BUT I KNOW WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE”
