The story would have been better if it had ended with the main character being a ghost who had died during a crash. The family living on the road was just helping him to pass over. The twist would have been the protagonist realizing he was dead.

You know what, there was a story in my hometown where there is a village living by a group of ethnic I called them 'orange ethnic' because i don't know if this story was true or not. Long time before, there were rumors of who ever enter this orange ethnic village at night, that person will be gone. Gone means will never got out from the village alive. No one will go for investigate how that person gone due to afraid will never got out from that village too. This is because there were conflicts between ethnics that time which any argument between men can cause of death so no one got permission to roam around the village at night. Still not sure if the story was true but i was haunted by this story until I became a teenager.this is because the village look so calm during the day with bright green color of paddy field. I always imagine if they have a serial killer in the village or they are some sort of a forbidden cult practice which need human blood. To think of it, i will feel like having all the shivers while going thru outside the village road. But now the village has become an attraction to visitors and many changes have been made to make the village look more vibrant and beautiful. The end. P/s ignore all grammatical error, because english is not my 1st laguage. Hope the story can be understand.

lol what a bunch of nonsense. He gets scared of the man's strength from the handshake and even makes a mental note that he doesnt wanna make him angry, and thinks that the man can "fold him", but the twist is he is a werewolf. His way of thinking doesnt really reflect what the character is. The story telling is so forced just for that twist on the stereotypical cultist horror story. Once the man said "you took everything away from me" and he made that forced heroic speech, it became clear that it's just a power fantasy. The author probably got spooked by some cultist horror movie he watched and imagined the protagonists to be strong instead.
