I looked it up. Clown job ends when you use the pie on the dad, and he's like "ugh, well the kids enjoyed it, but you're done now." But I don't know whether Nathan's early access theory is right as of the time they played, and I don't know if there are hints as to this being the solution within the game, as I just watched a short video showing you what to do within clown job.

There are just so many beautifully hilarious moments in this video. But above all I so badly want to see the sequence from 1:02:00-1:03:32 animated in some form. Just the series of events right there: Julia gets distracted: Jacob insults the man for having an item that should be in a museum: Nathan struggles to take the clock: the boys get the clocks through the door: they both struggle to get the clocks in the truck: they all drive away: they lose first clock: Nathan gets knocked off by a pole. It's just a glorious sequence of events with perfect comedic timing.
