The Pi 3 can be used to create a hotspot. It has more computing power due to having a better processor with faster speeds. I use the Pi Zero for hotspots because it's a dedicated hotspot for me and I don't need the extra bells and whistles the Pi 3 offers.

So I guess you sold out pi zero for $14, everyone is at least twice that much. At least anyone with them in stock

Mark Heron You have to keep an eye out for them. They come in and then sell really quickly at Adafruit. I wanted to purchase a second one and they were out of them a day later.
