@@TheNewHam Yes, it is and all works well for the most part. The included antennas leave quite a bit to be desired. The longer whip is okay when outside and I am on high ground but it's out of the box SWR was 2.3:1 with the reactance of my hand in place as if it was on the radio. For use of the HT at home I made myself an ugly dipole that gets me out to all the local repeaters and easily handles simplex work. You can see the ugly dipole I built at kj7rdy.conklincomputing.com/antennas/my-first-2-meter-homebrew-antenna-part-2/ 73 - KJ7RDY

When I got my first HT, a Baofeng, I was told to get a new antenna. I glad you mentioned the Abbree and the Signal stick, I have both. Very good antenna's. Speaker/Mic, very important. Extra batteries, I have three. Charging cradle, All my radio's came with them. Holster, I've yet to find one I like. Any ways, great video.

First, I love my BTECH Dmr6x2. Second the first accessory I recommend for an HT is a programming cable. Keep up the videos 👍

programming cable with real FTDI programming cable. Don't cheap cables with imitation chips. If possible, also a battery tray for AA or AAA batteries. You will always find these kinds of batteries in a pinch.

Great ideas! I think you are spot on with the way to carry the HT's especially when so many clips now attach to the batteries. I for one do not want to have to keep moving belt clips to batteries every time I change a battery, and risk loosing screws in the field.... It's not practical or efficient. Maxpedition makes great stuff I found the abree antenna to be somewhat directional. I am going to have to try the Signal Sticks. Cradles help keep things organized.... I guess you have seen my HT disaster on my desk 😂😂😂! Keep up the great work! Subscribed!

Don't the vast majority of radios come with a charging cradle?

I refuse to buy an HT that doesn’t have an alkaline battery case as an option. Alkaline and lithium-ion aa batteries are a dime a dozen and last a long time.
