Actually, rap originally came from this music and was awesome. It’s only today’s rap that is garbage. Everyone’s musical tastes are different. But without this music, funk and R&B, there is no hip hop.

You shouldn't be surprised at the number of viewers for anything Teddy. Those of us with genuine love for him will always read, view and comment positively on this legend who gave us music d way it is supposed to be and not what we are daily being fed with now. I can't say or write enough about this man but can only wish that his soul rest in perfect peace.Though we all have our sour points at one time or the other which makes us all the more human beings that we are and are fallible sometimes.

I've been a session drummer for over 40 yrs and I had the wonderful pleasure of working with teddy Pendergrass back in the early1980's, he was a very Reserved man but one hell of a singer and a drummer by trade teddy was a great great man and one of the top R&B singers of the 1970's & 1980's, I had the wonderful pleasure of working on 2 of his track's "close the door"," love tko, "turn off the lights" he was a fabulous human being and loved him some woman, TEDDY R.I.P. MY FRIEND GOD BLESS YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOUL, I MISS YOU BROTHER WE LOST YOU TO SOON, TEDDY HE WAS THE G.O.A.T. OF R&B.

The incredibly handsome Teddy took us back to where he started and I enjoyed every marvelous second of it. I could watch him for hours. Everything was perfect, him, his clothes, his voice, the backup, the musicians. This is the first time I actually got to see him play the instruments. He was a first class show man and a fine dancer too.... what a beautiful package he was....still love him so much.

After TP died, I purchased the DVD of his show in Vegas. Let me tell you, it was the best DVD I have ever purchased. I love watching the BlueNotes Medley because I didn't realize he was a drummer and a good one at that. I grew up listening to all of his hits in the 70s but never saw him perform. What a charismatic performer!
