Hi we have a charnwood LA muilt fuel boiler stove. Since we had the chimney line with theromacate . The anthracite has been burning to quickly. Even with the air vent dial set halfway between 0 and 1. Any idea how to slow down the burning speed.

@@TV.FAN.OO7 maybe try leaving the ash in. That would be a way of reducing the air flow. Try that and let me know if that works for you regards Zachary 🎩

Couple of things (I'm a heating consultant), where is the air inlet, for the heated air to come out of that vent? The only thing I came across close to this had an air inlet at the bottom. Secondly, surely, any heat coming out of that vent will be drawn downward and up the chimney? Having had an open fire, I couldn't help but feel that the heat was radiant, more than anything else. Having had a wood burner, and got tired of the constant cleaning (as we did use it every day due to having loads of free wood), we sold it and went back to an electric heater (Dimplex Optimyst). Cheers.

@@barryfoster453 yes they can have a air inlet. This one did. I love them think they are great. But it's up to the customers what they want .

Having had a look at a brochure for the Jetmaster, there is supposed to be a gap underneath to allow air to be drawn in (which would mean that one I saw was indeed a Jetmaster). The one in your video appears to be sat on a concrete pad, but I assume it's just the way the camera makes it look, and that is indeed a 30mm gap.

@barryfoster453 yes that's correct,it works perfectly.

@@zacharysweeps5169 Thanks. The idea still appeals to me - maybe our next house. Have you seen the big units in the US which supply heating for the whole house through a heat exchanger? They sit outside - Woodmaster Outdoor Wood Furnace. I think they are available here, now, but are something like £10,000 so probably uneconomic when you do the maths.

@@barryfoster453 no worries, I like the heat pump systems. Still a bit of money. But getting popular in Sussex with the grants.🎩🎩
