Ben what color would you use in a river 1-4’ with good to excellent clarity that has a brown color from the rocks ? For smallmouth
@SuaSponte752 жыл бұрын
Also the trick darter x80 is killer over grass, submerged brush, and rock/riprap in the shallow fall bite down here in SC. It can be worked in every way this time of year and produces so many good and aggressive bites.

I love the trick darter 80 too! Glad it's catching them for you!

Don’t fish to much lite baits , but gives me alittle food for thought . Always been a bigger is better guy. Talking about heat ive been in Az my whole life 59 years. The heat sucks eggs , chilling in the Baja right now lows 60s in the beach and 80s in the afternoon. Good video

The Rozante 77 is a killer, killer finesse jerkbait……it’s a fish catching machine….the only issue I’m having with those baits in the past is the weight transfer system can fail, rendering the bait useless….something happens with the magnet inside the lure that ends up coming out of its slot…with this bait, you normally will hear the click/snap of the weight transfer system engaging on the cast; when you stop hearing that sound on the cast, it’s a goner…sometimes it fails after 20 casts, or after catching a few fish….other times it can fail real fast(after a few casts)…I spoke to a Rep at Duo, and they replaced all my broken Rozantes…not sure if the design problem got resolved at their factory yet…

I absolutely LOVE the Durga 73SP! Thing is though the hook holes are reversed horizontal, and I'm having a bit of trouble finding replacement hooks with the correct eye alignment.

Cool video Ben/CJ. I'm not great throwing a normal size (110ish) jerk bait, but maybe a smaller one will be the ticket. ✌🏻😎🍻

Something that I just noticed, you merchandise The Hook Up Tackle Store like I merchandise the Hermiston Ranch and Home fishing department. Most tackle stores face all their product forward but both you and I face our product on the pegs to the rear, Nice!

I love the nanahan’s. Use them on table rock where they have seen a ton of 110’s.

I usually don't comment but I just have too. My favorite hard bait of all time is a Pointer 65. I have been catching hundreds of smallmouths throughout the years on it. I always add a feathered rear hook and in the summer in AZ there is no finesse, it is a fast jerk & rip, maybe slower when it is cooler. I also do fair in CA when the bass are schooling. For fun stripers like it also. I use 6lb most of the time because I like to use a spinning reel for jerk baits and that what is on my spinning reels most of the time.

Anyone who hasn’t used the X-Nanahan is sleeping on hella fish. I have every 110 but when they don’t want it, they will slay X Nanahan and it catches all species, even trout.

thank you for taking the time to break down the jerk baits

Do you ever put bigger hooks on the nanahan or a 110?
@Tbowie132 жыл бұрын
Love that X-Nanahan and it is the bomb on my Dobyns Sierra Ultra Finesse. I like the 7 ft. Fast action and the Curado BFS 10lb J-braid to 6 lb leader. It fishes the Nanahan like my Orochi xx Jerkbait rod and Aldebaren fishes a 110 or 110 jr. Anyhow, to those jerkbait nuts out there, it's been alot of fun...also catch alot of crappie with that rig on accident, which is a fine take home accident IMO.
@sc00092 жыл бұрын
Need to try the Nanahan out for trout. The Rozante 63 is my go to for rainbow trout and have used the 110 Jr as well.

So what type of spinning gear such rod length and action?
@SimonC826862 жыл бұрын
I have 3 of the rozante 77's, unfortunately none of mine suspend well, they all float fast at a pretty steep nose down angle.
@bassinbilliards6279 Жыл бұрын
Ive definitely seen the differences with 110 & 110jr. At some of my lakes. Its not always like that but one place they don't touch the 110 nearly as much as the jr. Its literally 10-1 on bites and its facts. The 75 is legitimate smaller and better for my smallmouth and spots
@gregstott81092 жыл бұрын
I feel like even though the length is close, the 110 jr still has a noticeably smaller profile. My main reason for throwing it though is that it runs more shallow like a slender pointer.

Can’t you use the deeper dive baits like the plus 2 up shallower as well? You just wouldn’t wind down as deep initially? Currently I only have plus 2 Nanahans
@thehookuptackle_usa2 жыл бұрын
the bill will eventually get the bait deeper on a +2 vs a non deep diver, but you certainly can keep the rod tip up or heavier line to keep it up if you wanted it shallower.
