Went to a commercial garage closeout sale last week. Found a cart with V series loose Craftsman wrenches and sockets. Asked lady running sale the price of the loose tools. She said how about $2.00 each. There were some large sizes on the cart so I asked if she could do $1.00 each. She said pick out the ones I wanted, and she would look at them. Found a tray on the cart with even more, in about 1/2 inch of motor oil. Found a rag and started going thru them all. Besides V series Craftsman, there were SnapOn and SK. I started a pile and the owner of the garage brought me a cardboard box. I ended up with 37 pieces. When I told the lady running the sale, the owner said to charge me $30.00 for the whole box. I then went back and looked again, found 4 more V series and a broken Craftsman rachet. Went back to front and she said $2.00 for all four wrenches and the rachet was free since it is broken. I paid $32.00 and got a total of 42 pieces (the rachet will be replaced at no charge). Makes my cost 76 cents per piece. There are SnapOn crow foots in the lot that are worth $25-30 each. Can't wait to get my Ebay store set up after July first and start listing. Thanks for the video on tools and Craftsman tools, as I would not have had any idea of the value if you had not made the video.

If you do find great things with stains on them, oxiclean really is AMAZING. But, you have to get the powdered one, mix it exactly as it says on the package, and then let it soak following the directions on the package. It will even remove some stains that have been washed and dried several times. It's AMAZING what comes out with that process. It won't get every strain, but way more than you expect. It's even more amazing if you pretreat the stain with a little full concentrate Simple Green and gently rub it with a stiff bristle brush just a little, depending on which type of fabric it is.

Here is a speculation for you, craftsman USA will take a spike up soon as the production of some of the hand tools has moved back to the USA. If you will be able to turn in old busted pieces under warranty again for USA tools and not Chinese hen people may start buying them up so keep your junk tools for now. The chisels aren't back to USA but I believe the wrenches are and being forged from USA Steel not that "made from globally sourced" inferior garbage, "Reshoring" is a thing since the pandemic exposed supply chain problems from China...woot!

@@judygillespie3242 whet they consider a good deal and what I consider a good deal rarely match. I work from a 10 to 1 rule. I sell nothing for less than $75, and I won't pay more that 10 cents on the dollar. If it sells for $75 and they want $10, I'm out.
