VT2 livewell vents all you need. I have had them for years have not lost a summertime fish since they have been installed no additives, no oxygen pumps etc..

Love that you’re taking fish care seriously. New boat is red? I love my red z19. Enjoy.

I know some of the guys down here in the SW Louisiana/E Texas area where I live that's taken something from the saltwater guys and run small oxygen bottles that pumps pure oxygen into the livewells. Man that's probably the best thing out there to take care of fish. I've seen fish gut hooked and knocking on deaths door and a couple minutes in the livewells and it's like they just got a shot of speed. I'm still just using G-Juice and small frozen water bottles during the warmer months but definitely been kicking around the idea of putting that system in my boat. I just gotta get past the idea of running around with bottles of pure oxygen in my boat. I like this idea also... Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

I wouldnt worry about the bottles as long as they are sceured. You have a 50 gallon bomb under the seat and floor anyway lol

I think an Oxygenator does the same thing without the need for carrying O2 bottles

@darrellgrant7615 you can't get the same sanitation levels, much easier with bottled oxygen

I fish tournaments out of an old G3 aluminum with a relatively shallow, long livewell and no divider. I installed a cheapo power bubbles oxygenator from academy and I put drain plugs in the livewell so all I have to do is fill it up once in the morning. I’ve still never lost a fish, even when I tongue-hooked a few in 90 degree water. Meanwhile guys with 100k boats come in with dead fish all the time in those same tourneys. My theory is these deep but fairly short livewells in boats like basscats don’t really let fish swim back and forth; when they can swim that helps them get oxygen through their gills. Also, lot of guys just run recirc instead of an oxygenator which is not sufficient.

Love the idea of fish care. I think I had a bottle of G-juice freeze and bust in my boat a few years ago so not sure if that is a concern.

Nice! Just a question for us in the North. With the “back wash” stop, can/do we use air to make sure there’s no substance (g-juice ect) for winter storage, or will the air damage the “back wash” mechanism? Thanks

Hi mikey! I’m for anything that takes care of the fish. With my limited take on things I thought the big deal now is oxygen. I find it interesting that apparently the care of the fish is more on the angler than it is on the tournament directors?

Every bass I catch I'm going to eat. Bass tournaments have gotten out of hand. No peaceful time at the lake anymore just white caps and rudeness.
