This season of PBA was so wack. Weakest competitors and worst finale episode ever. Eric and Tarmo were the only 2 good riders there. Then Max wins cuz they just wanted a Tiktok rider the whole time. To hear Eric tell it, the show was as dumb behind the scenes as it was for us viewers. Enjoyed this way more than the actual show lol. More please

They absolutely gutted this season of PB academy. The shows were too short, the announcers were out of touch, I felt nothing this season and tuned out after 2 episodes. I hope they go back to what they did in S2 as far as length and hosts.

The season was crap. If they're making so much effort justifying the result that so many were disappointed with, that tells you how much they missed the mark. Not taking away anything from Eric or the other competitors. They were just pawns in what has become, ho-hum, just another reality show. Here's a twist, next season give roses to the contestants not getting booted!

I have to admit I also wondered why they showed off the house at the start, but never again. I thought for sure they'd be doing some filming in there to get more competitor interactions and try to see some drama develop. Missed opportunity IMHO for a reality TV show. This season seemed such a train wreck. I know they made it clear it wasn't the fastest rider takes all, but that was true other seasons too. I think what disappointed everyone is that speed seemed to play NO part. It made most of the racing challenges pointless. With the shorter format, we got to know the contestants less well, and with the competitions having no point, we couldn't even understand how the judges came to their decisions. Except at the end when we found out Max won it based on his pre-existing follower count. Just a guess, but I feel like the Orbea rep (not sure what his role was) took it upon himself to give to much advice on how the show should appear, and basically interfered too much with the show's production and direction, without having the skill to understand what the audience wants from such a show. I'm interested to know what your take on it will be. Though of course, you might need to censor yourself seeing as you are now working for Orbea in some way, so I'm not holding my breath. I think PBA and Orbea need to part ways if PBA is to survive.

The huge mistake they made was to not have a female alternate for Mia. It basically lined up Brody to get thrown out right away, which was a bullshit call. I hate watched until episode 4, then I couldn’t take it anymore.

Not sure why, but the first two seasons were more interesting, maybe because the third season, they skipped over some competitors actual attempts to complete the task at hand...

First two seasons the episodes were about 45 minutes long, and focused more on the riders. This season each episode was like 24 minutes and was more about the judges than anything else. Producers crapped the bed on this one.

The show itself sucked. As a very longtime rider, i greatly respect all parties involved. However, the format of pinkbike and the presentation on podcasts is horrible and only got worse after Outdoor took over. Outdoor promised the world, offered financial project funding, ect and all we got is really stale content with super poor sound quality. Ok,,, pb podcast does occasionally have a great guest interview but the over structure and quality is piss poor amateur hour. I expected Outside to step thing up but clearly theyve done nothing. For the love of god, get quinny’s voice off the air. Clean up the sound board, re structure the podcasts, and get some more creative projects and topics.
