I think I struggle most with defining my actual style, which is probably why I don't have the right essentials. I love how the 12 competencies seem to be in the right order. If I start with the first one and work down, I think my style will improve a lot.

Lmao I came to comment “California” bc I live there. 40 degree mornings and it’s 90 degrees at 10 o clock !! Ppl say we don’t have four seasons or that our weather is predictable. No. It can be 90 degrees and then be pouring rain the same day.

I really like your channel, but this video was kind of strange to me because I am personally a true spring, and a kibbe dramatic. The colors used in the capsule would not work for me at all. There are a lot of blues that are not good for a true spring, and a lot of very muted colors that would also not work. I have already started building my wardrobe and have a decent number of pieces at this point and for me it is very important to have all 3 of warmth, saturation and lightness (to not be too dark)… if I wear muted things or cool things it does awful things to my face. I also do not find it necessary to wear neutrals besides a warm white or cream and light-med wash brighter jeans. I can pull it off to wear a lot of bright colors at one time without “neutrals”. I just wanted to provide this as constructive criticism based on my experience as a true spring dramatic and don’t mean any negativity toward you at all.

This client was a true spring but she really liked the true autumn color palette for her personal style, so we chose more muted colors with the autumn palettes and injected just a touch of brightness where she was most comfortable with it.

@@alyssarudman interesting, well that makes more sense. I don’t think it was mentioned in the video so I didn’t know what was going on with that. Most people seem to be terrified of color at this point and want to wear all “neutrals” even if it washes them out, and only one item in an outfit can actually be a color if any, etc etc… I don’t know why it’s like that but that is what I see on social media all the time so I thought you were going for the same thing. My personal approach is very opposite where I start with a print and then match solid color items to colors in the print.
