It’s impossible to say for certain without seeing your silhouette or line drawing! It sounds like you could have elongation and curve, but I find that often the way we describe ourselves can misrepresent our true body types. I definitely encourage you to do the line drawing exercise! 🥰

Are you buttoning them all the way up or leaving them undone to create a v-neck? Open necklines are generally more flattering on the Natural types so I would recommend leaving some buttons undone at the neck, but collars in particular aren’t necessarily wrong for the SN body type. You could also try softer collars (softer fabrics and/or more rounded shapes). However, preferences also play a role here. Maybe collars just aren’t a style element that resonates with your unique personal style?

A great way to test those color types would be to try their Sister Seasons (True Autumn is the sister of True Spring, and Soft Summer is the sister of Soft Autumn). If you can pull off True Autumn, then that would be a great confirmation of your True Spring type! 🥰

I think this has come out of an evolution of the definition of double-curve. Unfortunately it seems to be creating more confusion than clarity when it comes to the SG and SC types. Taking yin/yang body typing literature as a whole, and in my experience, SC and SG don't often have uninterrupted double-curve. Their curve is interrupted by aspects of their bone structure, like angularity (usually in the shoulders) or elongated limbs (sometimes present in SG). Even if those interruptions to curve are slight, they are one key way to differentiate between one of the Romantic types and other types with curve. Bone structure can be so key! 🥰

First and foremost, wear what you enjoy! Body types are just a tool and if you feel they aren't serving you, don't use them. You're enjoyment of your personal style and lifestyle is the #1 goal always. Regardless of your type, your body sounds beautiful. From what I'm hearing, fit issues may be your biggest struggle. Finding at least one brand that fits well and aligns with your style might be a huge game changer for you 🥰

I think I'm truly a tr but because that's supposed to be rare I feel I must not be. I'm also jealous of all the other types cause I think they have coolness I can't have cause my body demands everything be all delicate and not intense. It seems like it would be fun to be a tr but it just feels the most limiting to me. And I would just "wear what I like" except I can see when it does actually look bad on me haha.

@@letsallgoforawalk I totally get that! I think we all have a bit of FOMO about the other types from time to time. I'm FN and wish I didn't look so ridiculous in delicate things some times. The grass is always greener! But I know you will be able to find a way to bring that coolness into your style while still honoring your unique body. Just keep experimenting!

Have you ever tried to determine your Kibbe (yin/yang) body type? I find that system resonates so much more with my clients than the fruit/shape typing system 🥰

I personally do see petite and narrowness in Liza. I can see what you are getting at, especially in more recent photos and some where her shoulders are emphasized by her clothing. But petite is dictated by the bone structure not so much the flesh. Her bones are quite narrow and if you look at younger photos of her wearing fitted clothing, her shoulders are quite narrow. I’m curious to hear your thoughts!

@alyssarudman kibbe says petite means short bones. That is why he says R is petite. I was surprised you didn't say R is petite because it is very emphasized by kibbe that R is petite. As for me I am struggling so much to see myself objectively. But I narrowed it to TR or SG maybe even pure R. But in some photos i look very tiny petite other photos I look gigantic like an SD you would think I am 5"7 but i am only 5'2. So I am confused tbh

I would have to see you to tell which body type you are, but try to think of your body as a whole rather than breaking it up into sections when doing your analysis 🥰

@alyssarudman thanks! I have wide shoulders, have a double curve, have a short vertical line, and my body lines tend to be rounder. I don't fit in with the Romantic body type because I don't have narrow or sloped shoulders or a super waspish waist because I'm a bit overweight.

@@minivan1680 if you have wide shoulders that aren't sloped, you probably don't have double-curve because part of double-curve is a relatively rounded shoulder shape (usually paired with moderate or narrow shoulders). I would say you likely should eliminate the Romantic types, but I still wouldn't be able to confirm your type without seeing you.

😂 but you still have a type! The thing I love about the yin/yang body typing system is your type never changes regardless of changes in weight 🥰
