I'll give you one George. YSL Trench. It has that ambrette/iris/musk think going on but it opens like tangerines squeezed over neroli Portofino before transitioning to the ambrette/iris with the fig rind. It's a bit more watery and green because of the neroli in the beginning, making it DHI for spring and summer

Very nice list I am a massive fan of Dior Homme Intense and I love Pardon, classy scent! Also enjoy the darker sweeter nature of Valentino Uomo. I was quite excited to try Givenchy and it was nice but really didn't last long at all. Enjoying this series very much btw!!!!

Great video. I've been eying some alternatives as I don't know what the future of DHI will be. I think the pencil shaving note you're picking up in Boisee is the Virginia Cedar. It really gives off that vibe in quite a few fragrances. This video format is a home run. I think you're assumptions that this idea will be stolen are correct! Haha. Givenchy Gentleman EDP, the iris is not as lipsticky as DHI, and it has balsamic resins and more lavender, the first hour is incredible. The dry down doesn't have a strong projection but it stays for quite a while. The only problem of boisee for me is that since its not as resinous it made the longevity go way down when compared to the EDP. But yeah neither of these gets anywhere near the longevity and projection DHI has.

Tbh I can roll with the new Homme intense..when i first sampled it I thought ok they've turned the cacoa note up on this and now smells vertually identical to valentino uomo intense but left on the skin for an hour it dried down very smooth..

Been enjoying these George well done. I havent really been focusing on designers much but Gentleman EDP and Boisee r 2 that seem worth trying. Also Carner Barcelona D600 is a decent niche alternative that can be found for around $120ish/100ml on discounters. I love Dior Bois D'Argent and have heard Van Cleef and Arpels Bois D'Iris is similar and can certainly get it for much cheaper, have u any advice on that? Oh 1 more question, worth it to grab Dior Homme Eau from 2014 where the juice has aged and become yellowish? Thanks George. Hope all is well. - Colin

Among the cheap ones there is also Zara 90 which is really good but it lasts one or two hours only but it costs in UK 8 pounds and rest of europe around 12€

I was about to request an episode for Dior Homme 2011. Well it's not necessary now because I got what I'm looking for. Though my true wildcard for this would be Tiffany & Co edp intense which goes full feminine powdery sweet. I think this series is brilliant. It's extremely helpful to everyone, newbie or experienced, to navigate from one point to another. And it's so much better than "list of fragrance that feature this note". Appreciated every bit of this.

I love that you did this video, however I personally couldn't take away new inspiration for what I'd like to sample next as I already tested all those fragrances you've mentioned (except for the clone). Do you have any recommendations for "further adventures", that conserve the softness and the sensuality? I'm also looking for something I can wear even when it's warmer outside, but I'm struggling to find anything having that vibe, because I can't pinpoint, what it is about DHI, that gives it those characteristics. I love these. New to fragrances and building up quite a collection since quarantine. Have a little over 30 fragrances, all blind buys and I still don't really know the notes I am smelling lol. lots of hate with the new version. but to me, it's just easier to live with. isn't as heavy as the original one. I would say the same for the new Dior Homme. versatile is what they are, the new Dior Homme(s) though, do take note I am from a hot and humid year round tropical climate country.

a warning to people that haven't smelled or own tom fords ombre leather...the leather smell is a every soft suede not leather...i was hoping for a leather jacket or leather sofa smell and was very disappointed over youtube reviews that said it was that sort of leather.......it's a lovely smell but it being a soft suede pissed me off.

Valentino Uomo Intense is not even in the same class. Smells like something a teenager would wear. Way too sweet and the current formulation since Valentino was bought by L’Oréal is trash. Longevity is poor and it’s almost missing the Iris note completely.
