The scariest thing about this video isn't even the creature itself, it's how realistic it is. Most videos of this kind always end with everyone dying and the footage suddenly cutting off, but this one is different, sure, two of the three people who went down died but the fact one of them actually made it out and the way they portrayed both Jack and Hudson's reaction to their companions' deaths is really well executed. Hudson keeping calm despite just receiving the news of Shannon and Miller's deaths all so he can help Jack only to break down in anger once things calm down is such a realistic reaction for a trained professional like him, and the way Jack fails to maintain his cool because he was actually *there* when it happened and blames himself for being a coward and running is SO well done.

Yeah, at first I thought Hudson was acting super weird. Like, 2 members of his team are dead and he’s just super calm about it but then later when he yells in anger I finally got it. He was holding it all in to help Jackson out. Also, am I the only one that thought Hudson would be dead when Jackson returned to the surface?

I am more curious to know if the creature died from the fall. I wonder if bringing a flamethrower would've been more smart then those colt 723 rifles. Since they did nothing to it, maybe adding incinator rounds would've been more effective. Since the backrooms is notorious for using a type of fungus to portray its monsters. Don't think many fungus can survive being incinerated.

As a 3D artist, with the clip rope scene after they put their camera below the noclip carpet. The clip rope thingy is rigged and it usually is difficult to animate because you have to animate everything frame by frame with bones and rigging. The character animation is most likely done with mocap because its how spectre does his animations using the xbox360’s kinect mocap feature lol. Hope this explains stuff. Also for the hand animations, spectre uses a image to planes addon in blender which is the 3D software he uses, he also records a video of the green screen of his hands and imports it as images to planes through the blender addon while doing compositing nodes for the green screen for transparency :) Edit: after reading some of your replies he uses a mo cap suit for this video (rokoko something idk). Also after thinking for a bit the rope is probably parented to the object (the character) while being weight painted, thanks for correcting this info guys :) Oh, and hand animations are also 3d characters lol I was wrong sorry 😞

I absoulutely LOVE the concept of horror monsters like this, where they seem to have a higher level of intelligence than regular predators. You could already tell that the 'victim' down there probably could be dangerous to approach, but as soon as that soldier confirmed something was wrong by pointing out that her mouth wasn't moving sealed the deal. Then, in what I'd like to call a master of horror writing, there was a moment of terror, not knowing what exactly was going on, and then the lights came on, and the monster was revealed. It's design is FANTASIC! Minimal, but still horrifying, with the way it looks to be just a system of bones that belonged to an unknown animal. This was AMAZING. Cheers to artists! When something truly mind-bending gets featured like this, it's a nice reminder that the creativity of some people is infinite!

33:39 i think the monster is a form of the bacteria monster, they are formed from the stuff on the wall earlier in the video, corrupting and rotting a human body, which allows it to become alive like that, they have developed to imitate voices, which is the disembodied voices they talked about earlier, just showing its source. There colour is to probally blend in with the darkness so they can use their previous victims as a puppet, and are intelligent enough to probally set up a beacon, and put its voice through a radio. -Dark

Reminder: The game hides a lot of small details that explain to the lore, too, so pay attention to the surroundings. Sounds are also important in the game. However, the music in the ending (where u open the door) is copyrighted, so you probably wanna mute it during that.

This was one of the best backroom videos that I have seen in a while. The most messed up thing about it wasn't even the monster itself, or the fact that it could mimic voices of it's victims. But is was the fact that the Shannon was screaming Jackson's name as she was being ripped to pieces pleading for him to help save her in an unwinnable situation. I can't even begin to imagine the massive amount of PTSD if not CPTSD or even survivals guilt after narrowly escaping something like that and watching two of your teammates being killed that way. And lo, since I love Ryan's videos so much, I spent a literal hour and a half writing this story of my take on ESCAPE THE BACKROOMS, ONCE AGAIN, and for the jokes including the most horror games played in a day and the most games completed without getting jumpscared YOUR WELCOME lmao XD - *Once upon a time in a quiet suburban neighborhood, there lived a young man named Ryan, known in the gaming world as "8-bit Ryan." He had earned his nickname for being one of the best gamers in existence. His life revolved around pixels, virtual adventures, and the thrill of conquering challenging games. His room was a treasure trove of gaming memorabilia, with posters of iconic characters adorning the walls and a powerful gaming PC taking center stage on his desk. One gloomy Saturday afternoon, with rain pattering against his window, Ryan decided to dive into a new gaming experience. He had recently acquired a mysterious gaming PC from a garage sale hosted by an enigmatic old man in his neighborhood. The moment he had laid eyes on the peculiar computer, he felt an odd sensation, as if someone was watching him from afar. However, he brushed aside those eerie feelings, attributing them to his overactive imagination. Sitting down in his gaming chair, Ryan fired up the unusual PC, eagerly anticipating a thrilling new adventure. As the screen came to life, it emitted an eerie, flickering light, casting a shadowy, unsettling atmosphere in his room. His jaw dropped, and his heart raced as he began to remember the strange atmosphere of that garage sale. The old man had been intensely watching him as he picked up the PC, and his piercing eyes had sent shivers down his spine. Before Ryan could ponder further, his hands inexplicably started to pixelate. Panic surged through him as he let out a blood-curdling shriek of astonishment. It was as though his body was disintegrating into a sea of digital fragments. Desperation engulfed him, but he couldn't stop it. In an instant, he was pulled into the flickering abyss of the PC, which then shut off abruptly. Suddenly, Ryan found himself in a world unlike any other. He stood in a realm that resembled the backrooms, a place of liminal spaces and eerie transitions. The surroundings were filled with muted colors, and the landscapes were surreal, as if he had been transported into a digital nightmare. A sign in the distance read "Backrooms: Level 999," and he realized with terror that he had become trapped in this eerie, endless maze. This was not a game, but a nightmare incarnate. Ryan's heart pounded as he navigated through endless hallways, each one indistinguishable from the last. The walls seemed to pulse with a sickly green light, casting eerie shadows that played tricks on his mind. As he ventured deeper into the backrooms, the sense of isolation and dread grew with every step. He couldn't help but think of the old man from the garage sale. Had he known the true nature of the PC he had sold to Ryan? Was this some kind of twisted prank, or had he stumbled upon a malevolent force beyond his comprehension? With each passing moment, Ryan's hope dwindled. He had no weapons, no allies, and no clear path to escape. Every corner he turned, every door he opened, only led to more of the same endless, monotonous corridors. And then, in the darkest depths of the backrooms, he encountered it - the entity itself. It was a monstrous, shifting mass of shadows and glitched pixels, a grotesque amalgamation of all his fears and nightmares. The entity seemed to feed on his terror, growing larger and more menacing with every passing second. In a moment of sheer desperation, Ryan did the only thing he could think of - he faced the entity head-on. With a shout of defiance, he charged towards the eldritch horror, his determination outweighing his fear. The entity recoiled, as if surprised by his audacity. The battle that ensued was unlike anything Ryan had ever experienced. It was a battle of wills, a test of his courage and resolve. He dodged glitched projectiles, outmaneuvered the entity's shifting forms, and fought back with every ounce of strength in his pixelated body. As the battle raged on, Ryan felt a strange connection with the entity. It was as if he could see into its very core, its vulnerability hidden beneath the glitches and darkness. With one final, decisive strike, he struck at the heart of the entity, causing it to unravel and dissolve into a cascade of digital fragments. The backrooms around him began to glitch and distort, and the flickering light grew more intense. With one final surge of energy, Ryan was sucked out of the backrooms and back into reality. He lay on the floor of his room, panting and covered in sweat. The peculiar gaming PC sat before him, its screen dark. With a trembling hand, he powered off the computer and unplugged it. He had returned from a digital nightmare, and the old man's mysterious PC was finally silent. From that day on, 8-bit Ryan's gaming experiences took on a whole new level of intensity. He had lived to tell the tale of his harrowing adventure in the backrooms, a story he would never forget. As he continued to play, he couldn't help but wonder about the enigmatic old man and the origins of that haunted gaming PC. One thing was for sure - he had a newfound respect for the power of pixels and the games that had once been his escape, now a thrilling, high-stakes reality. And as for the old man, Ryan couldn't shake the feeling that he had encountered a force far beyond the realm of ordinary gaming - a force that had tested his skills, his courage, and his very existence* . And there it is lol, I hope no 6 year olds read this, or they may never be the same again lol, but apart from that, hope you enjoyed the story, and if you are wondering yes I am an author lol, I am writing a story called long may they stand with 37,000 words atm, AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT AUTHORS GAME 23 hours a day lmao XD 💀💀💀

This is genuinely terrifying. Kane's backrooms is scary but, those intense, painful skrills is an understatement for how they started to scream. A rescue mission turning into a traumatising life grasping escape is truly heart pumping. The acting is great and the 3D models look really good, especially in the backrooms. That entity is terrifying and you know people are gonna start to experiment with it to make it even more scary. Hudson really clutched it by saving Jackson. The way how the mouth was motionless and the creature used the voice of the victims got me on edge. Well done to Spectre 👏👏👏👏👏

Congratulations Ryan, I love watching all your backrooms reaction videos for fun and the occasional laugh, but this... This was different. Thanks, I never wanna hear or see that stalker entity again because that thing was a true horror show and I actually felt scared for the characters themselves in this one, that looked like a painful way to get taken out. Ok, but, the VA was top notch, I usually pay more attention to the character models and did kinda immediately say something to myself about how obviously fake the people are- but the voice acting, I stopped paying any attention to the minor details like that because the characters were so instantly likeable and just, damn. I want a part 2. I mean I don't because that thing might now join my catalog of similar monsters I see in my nightmares, but also, this was amazing, top notch horror and I appreciate it not following the usual trope of no survivors allowed and that cold ending was just the icing on top. It really made me wish it kept going, this could be the opening to a movie and I'd watch it

This is single handedly one of the coolest videos for the back rooms so far, like the whole concept of actually soldiers being sent to deal with the elements of the back rooms only to find the creatures that are all but immune to all convential means, I would love to see and entire movie based around this kinda style and concept my god

The animations could be just green screens or special suits with nodes to follow someones movement and render them in a software. Kinda like how they make animations in games like Dying Light. Very useful for making realistic stuff but its expensive so it was probably not used in this

One thing I want to say is about the whole backrooms being classified, like there being numbered levels and sub levels and all the entities are documented, doesn’t apply to everything. People can just make stuff up when making their own backrooms content. Doesn’t matter what the wiki says. Other than that, this was a great reaction to a great video. You provided some decent commentary with some theories sprinkled in, which not a lot of reactors do from what I’ve seen. Your’e definitely one of my favourite KZbinrs, not just for the horror content, but your personality is really enjoyable. It kind of contrasts with the horror games/videos you cover on your channel, which I think is great because I’m a coward and I cannot watch horror content like this on my own for the life of me, so not only having someone react to it but also try to be funny and light hearted at times just makes it so much better.
