No actually it's not a bad idea. Very few percentage of people feel the real love in their life for their partner. When opposite sex attract each other in the young age, that is not love. That is just attraction given by nature for procreation purpose and is based on hormones, chemistry. Love happens quite later in the life when the hormones settled down and you start to look deep inside the person not the superficial external things. That I think will be real love. But ppl break up before many times reaching to that stage and sometimes lost the faith in the process.

I finally found love being in love with someone she is different then from all other women in the past, She respected me, she respected my dreams we were in love with each other I was the happiest person ever because of her, We broke up she had to be with her family, Her stepfather had to go court, Her cousin had to go to the hospital At first 2020 we went on a break then we got back, I understand what she is going through because I’ve been there, To be honest I was planning on giving her a promise ring for Christmas , That was after the break up , I have not seen or heard from her since last August, I don’t know what to do without her, I’m keeping on missing her and it’s killing me I haven’t been happy since, I’m just being happy nfor the family,
