Loving someone means also to set them free and let them go, which I never thought to be that hard. But: who knows what's for the best in the long run? Coming back to this 3 years later. I've experienced many forms of love and have learned that I have mistaken and confused a blur of emotions into the form of love. But if I've learned anything, it's that love isn't some checklist you cross off to know you're in it, it isn't something you look for and get, it's random, it catastrophic, it's beautiful, and it's tormenting. It's one of the most beautiful and terrifying feelings I think anyone can experience. It comes into our lives in what feels instantaneous, yet when love fails, it doesn't stop or cease. Love lives long, it continues to live and maybe it can change forms, but I know that it doesn't just disappear, at least not the true kind of love. I am still learning about love and growing from it, wondering how I could ever fall deeper than I had with him, but I'm hopeful. Hopeful of the stars aligning for us again, hopeful of his love being as true as mine still, but most importantly I'm hopeful of us both finding the love we need, even if it's not with each other.

You know what gets me? You look at a grave stone or memorial of some kind and you see two dates. And between those two dates is a line. Kind of, you tell me if I should relate : During a night where we drank quite a bit, my crush asked me what I thought about someone (she seemed to be kind of into it). Up to here, it's quite similar but what's next still confuses me. I told her what I knew of him, which in this case was that he wasn't really reliable, which was the truth. She literally hugged me 15 seconds straight while telling me "you are better anyways". Couldn't last longer as we were in a rush going back to the hotel. (was a study trip so we had to get back and our teacher didn't want us to stay as long as my crush's teacher let them) To this day, I still don't understand why she told me that that way...
