Booked to stay at Hilton Marble Arch at end of month as my best friend is coming up to town from Somerset and as a treat booked County Hall for afternoon tea and free flowing sparrkling wine as Di use to work there years ago. I am 70 and never ever was in a beauty salon. I prefer buying clothes 😂 I just have inherited great genes. 10% Italian ancestry. I am very thankful for that. Just using natural oils like olive oil, camelia oil, rose hip oil, borage oil, argan oil, and vitamine E creme. Many days i just don't put anything on my face after washing.......with soap! O yes i have some wrinkles. Who hasn't at age70? But i don't care. I do color my hair myself.......because in my personal opinion grey hair makes me look so much older. So......as for my hair i do care very much.

I highlite my own hair, and cut my own hair , but now and again get it professionally cut. I wish I could get facials and a little pampering, but just end up short at end of month as always. I admire ladies who can get professionsl skin care, but I do take care of my skin and my skin is not bad for 77. I'm skin care obsessed and love makeup. Just less than when I was young.

@@carolynhamilton3316 Nice to read your comment. Like you i do cut my hair myself ;) . I very often do use lipstick!! It cheers me up and makes me look younger. Hardly ever use mascara anymore. Hardly ever use an eyebrow pencil. Never ever use foundation or concealer or other stuff like that. My skin must breath. I love as much natural as possible. I am more fashion obsessed. 🥰 So i prefer to spend my money on clothing. Have a nice Sunday evening and regards from the Netherlands.

In my opinion people do not notice the condition of your skin....unless your face is like a dried shrunken apple or your face is loaded with pimples. It is people's optimism and positivism, their lust for life that shows. Having enough sleep, drinking lots of water ( European source water is the best) and eating healthy ( no animal eating please) do the rest.
