Good for you, Rachel. A therapist once answered the guestion” Who goes to a therapist?” She answered,”Smart people!”

You are not alone, 8:00 Rachel. Don't feel bad about taking medication that your therapist prescribes. Each year since my husband passed in 2020, I wish I could have went with him. I have family near so that helps. The winter months in MN just suck, currently we're in a deep freeze for next week or longer! More depressing. Keep your chin up, as you're not alone.

I am right with you!!!! Nothing wrong with medicine we all need something as life goes on . I have been through what you are going thru and much more … I will always take an antidepressant …. My brain does no longer make the dopamine that it needs to get through anything ,SO YES my friend I am with you and we are not alone ❤❤❤❤❤

I agree no herb will heal everything but finding the correct tools and using them together is the key! We all have to find what works for us and our individual experiences and bodies 🤍

Depression strikes hardest during the holidays. I'm no diagnosing I'm sharing what my life has been like for several decades. Family is scattered, no more fun holiday family get togethers, just feeling lost within myself. Take care of yourself, it is the best you can do for you.

I’m sending you so much love. I was where you are a few years ago. I tried everything naturally and finally with Thor help of my doctors went on medication. As my therapist said I needed help to see that there was a way out of the pit instead of feeling like the walls were caving in. I’m so proud of you and taking care of yourself is a wonderful gift to give yourself this year. I’m here for you and know you are loved, valued, and people are here to help you as you see your way and climb any steps out of the pit. Sometimes we slide back in part way but knowing we can get out is huge. Medication is a tool to help us see we can get out of our brains and those feelings.

Life does have its up and downs but there are some downs that can be exceptionally difficult. Being we are all different, I really can't offer any sound advice. But I can offer suggestions, one of which you are already doing which is seeking help outside your 'normal' comfort zone. You've got multiple physical and emotions issues compounded upon one another, it's no surprise it has become too much for you to figure out on your own. Reach out to whoever you may think can help you, but keep in touch with nature. Don't lose sight of what a miraculous gift our lives are and how incredible this planet, galaxy and beyond is. We are SO LUCKY to have our moment here despite how difficult it might be. I hope your therapist has some new ideas to lift your spirits!!❤❤❤

This is a season of needing more support. I think this is normal. Nothing wrong with how your feeling. Great idea with extra support with therapy and meds is totally fine. A doctor said would you deny seizure meds so why not meds to help your mental health. You need quiet and slowing time. Be happy with new therapist and meds. It’s ok. This is a great new year gift to yourself.

I was on antidepressants for 30 years. I got off then by using light therapy glasses and taking 6 supplements. The light therapy helps within a week if starting if this works for u but the supplements take about 3 months. I got the list of supplements from a book called Beyond the Label. If u want to know more let me know. Praying for u. Depression sucks big time. If u need meds then do it. You deserve to feel better.

There is no shame in taking medication for mental health. Our brains get sick and unbalanced just like the rest of our bodies. The important thing is getting HELP, Before you spiral further downward. Get on it girl! No shame in getting help.

It’s as if the tumor came out and your identity was lost. Hear me out. You have been taking care of Kyle for so long, and while the need for that is winding down a bit, you don’t know what to do with yourself at this point. When I got sick and had to go out on disability after a 40 year career, I spiraled so badly. My entire identity, I came to realize, was in work. Once that was done, I didn’t know myself at all anymore. I had almost become robotic. Work, children, husband, work, children, husband. And nothing in between any of that. I’m still not seeing the world in color and I’ve resigned myself to this is how it is. It makes me sad but I’m too exhausted to even try. I do hope it gets better for you. It’s not easy. And let Kyle take care of you for a change. Ask him to help you in whatever you need help with. He should be more than willing to at this point in his recovery.
