Qualified immunity should not be allowed in cases where the officer should not this very basic law and very basic rights of citizens. This cop should be FIRED ASAP, and blacklisted so he cannot work at any other police force ever again. He should also pay a hefty fine for impersonating a police officer. Considering that if he was truly a police officer he should know the law, and especially this very basic one.

Had same thing happen to me. I witnessed a car accident between an off duty cop who was in the wrong and a woman on a motorcycle. I tried to give my witness account to responding police and was instead searched, id'd and was warned to watch myself. They even ran my license plate and inspected my car for defects while the woman lie in the road with a broken back. All I tried to do was tell them what I saw and one cop said I was only doing it because I hated police because I had a 17 year old speeding ticket. That is when I learned why they were treating me like that. The police were trying to find something to scare me away and not tell what I saw which was that the cop was driving erratic. They actually let the cop who committed the crime talk to me. Since when does the person who caused accident get to interview the witnesses on the side of road about what they saw?

Unfortunately it's not a choice when calling EMS most of the time. We have more cops than ants in this country, all with nothing to do, so they can get somewhere faster than any ambulance. So they send their untrained masses out to push people around, clog the roads, and clutter the scene while they wait for the ambulance. Anonymous tip would have been the only option here, but knowing their incompetence they'd have started a manhunt to I.D the caller. Probably the leading cause of death among young people with behavioral/mental health issues in this country are useless cops who get CC'd to their home when they call for healthcare professionals.

Is NYC still a stop-n-ID city? There's that. If no state is a stop-n-ID state, then "This is not a stop-n-ID state." is a correct statement. The implication that some states are ... is all in ur head.

As a republic we have a union of States that are sovereign and self governed as long as they abide by the national constitution which is the governing agreement of the United States of America. While States may attempt to pass and enforce unconstitutional laws, ultimately they must abide by the US constitution. It is unconstitutional to require id from citizens without probable cause and that is why there is no such thing as a “stop and ID State”. The US Supreme Court is the ultimate arbiter of the constitution but if citizens just accept an unconstitutional law *then it never gets challenged and brought before the Supreme Court and that is why it’s so important we don’t blindly accept the idea of a “Stop and ID State”.

I am so amazed with this man's patience. This is astonishing. Centralia is only about an hour drive from where I live. If I knew this man, I would buy him dinner.

Yes, his patience and tolerance when dealing with all of that abuse, whining, and copslainin' was incredible. He was also absolutely correct with every single thing he said throughout the video.

I think videos like this are an effective means of raising one’s blood pressure. You’re doing a great service by reporting such incidents. When may we expect changes in police training and education to put a stop to cop gangsterism?

We can expect changes when we realize the only way police meaningfully reform is if bad officers start becoming dead officers.

They have to be fired ensuring that they cannot be throughout the country or cemetery guards. In these absolutely crazy cases, can’t your personal property be seized for the amount (as far as they reach) of the compensation they have to give you?
