At this point I feel like this uploading a video once a day is kind of becoming bs advice, you’re wasting time on slop ideas and the fact you say that you get “unlimited ideas” from some “Ai” language model that’s likely 98% slop I’ve tried repeatedly to find more interesting ideas with a number of language models and they all give generic meaningless answers stuff that everyone and their grandma already makes. I think you should stop making a video a day and instead should put more time into some more valuable video ideas. This high volume daily videos must have thought you some basic skills but I presume you’ve long flatlined in the obtaining of new skills and I’d advise you instead aim to make something really good and insightful, I’ve come across a hand full of channels that have lots of videos but really no reason or authority on any of these subjects and this just kind of blabber the human equivalent of Ai slop we don’t need more of that. Sorry if I’m coming across a bit blunt but I hope you genuinely got something from that. My goal is making the best videos I can on topics that I’ve been gathering for years that I didn’t see anyone make videos on saving to afford the big trip to do it myself and there’s still a long road to go

Hey Lewis, thanks for stopping by. I think you may have misunderstood the point of this video - it wasn't about AI idea generation (although those prompts listed out on that tweet have helped me out, personally.) This video was meant to motivate beginner creators (like yourself) to keep making things even if you're getting little love on them. Because it's a long, slow game and can be really discouraging when you spend hours on something for it to get minimal views/engagement. I'm sure you've been there yourself. To your point about stopping daily videos, tbh it's something I've talked about in a few videos now, and i agree with you here - if i took more time to make each video, the quality would increase significantly. But my goal of doing this year of daily videos is less about overall channel growth, and more about motivating anyone who watches to show up every day for their own goals in their own lives. That's what this is about. The journey of consistent effort. If I get some growth, sure I'll take it. But showing up every day for a year on thing is something that i think people can get real value out of. A bonus added benefit I didn't know would happen is that daily videos has allowed me iterate extremely quickly on what I want my brand to be about by forcing me to think about it every single day. now let's get to "the human equivalent of Ai slop" - this made me lol. it's my new favorite paradox. and yea, it was a bit blunt. but hey at least it was genuine... i too hope you genuinely got something out of this reply. thanks for taking time out of your day to comment. i don't suspect i will see you back here given you didn't love this video, so i wish you the best in your youtube career 👍

@@iamryanward hahaha the Dutch are notoriously blunt so I put that disclaimer. I’d say I agree with most of what you said here. I was more talking about the general theme of your channel over the years I’ve become increasingly strong of the opinion that with the Information age in which we live we have an abundance of information such an over abundance that we went from the problem of lack of information to information overload where you’d have to sort trough the slop lies and misconceptions. I watched another video today where the guy tried to explain how to talk to girls in basic terms and the first thing he said is first you basically need to unlearn all the bullshit you’ve been thought by both former mainstream society and the manosphere. His later points could’ve been better but I see this as very true today. Your emphasis on motivating people to be consistent is great in theory but I feel like the daily videos have lost their meaning here. I feel like it’s becoming an excuse to neglect quality and rethinking your thoughts. I’d recommend you to instead make a video about the process of some bigger project showing the days as progress. I used to love the videos of that Scottish guy Tim Boyd or something that would try to learn a skill and recorded how much time it took him. He showed his consistency and the passage of time in a more value dense video. You could even make a video about how you’re planning out making another bigger project video where you take more time to reflect on your words rewrite them and so forth. Anyway it’s nice to see others trying to improve their situation we all need a bit of that certainly with the bad place where our world is today.

@@iamryanward though I might add contrary to that, I may put too much time into some of my projects, part of that is how long I’ve worked up to materializing them and them being much more costly in both time and money

i appreciate that you’re trying to help, truly. but i’m going to run my channel the way I please. you can apply these recommendations to your own channel if you believe in them this strongly

@@iamryanward hey we all have different goals I like what you’re doing and I’ll say I find it motivating but also a lot more genuine then many “gurus” out there. You’re doing good work. And in the end of course this is your decision. Your confidence among some other things show that you’ve given it enough thought. I’m still critical of language models, I always end up being frustrated with it giving generic answers that aren’t helpful to what I’m looking/ asking for.
