James Hamblin wears a new exoskeleton that simulates the experience of being 75 years old in this episode of If Our Bodies Could Talk. Cool?

I'm 62 and walk three miles each day. It seem like this suit is simulating an 80 year old.

You presumably heard what the woman in the video mentioned, where 70% of the elderly will need some form of mobility assistance. Perhaps you're in that 30%. There are many people that don't do a dang thing to take care of their bodies. But also, in my case, I injured my knee very badly in my late teens and I'm now 31 and have to use a cane. I have no clue where my knee will be in 30 years, but I don't think it'll be doing too hot. It's all based on individual experiences.

This is what it feels like to live with a chronic condition but without the suit.

um, at the end of the video there was a vehicle in the background called the "I-rovo" nothing appeared on any search engine that resembled it! Nice video though, hope we have exoskeletons as we age

With chronic illness I can relate lol 31 and useing a walker. Now if they would upgrade that suit they would put some needles in the shoes and clams on the joints. Like,, don´t forget the pain!! XD

I hope they could explain more the struggle of elderlies in just normal routine (e.g. walking, cooking, shopping, drinking a glass of water) with empathy and emphasis in how this technology could simulate that. Also focusing on its application to give perspective on elderly experience to caregivers and medical professionals who shall handle old people. All of this without implied ludicrousness.😟😞

There is no reason to be alive if you are "struggling" to drink a glass of water. Your time has long passed you and you should end it already, no point living a life where drinking water is a struggle.

This guy got on my nerves. He is a doctor??? He is not very mature even for a young person and trying really hard to be clever. Fail.
I tried using AI. It scared me.
