I got myself a black 16 pro switched from an iPhone Xs. I'm super impressed and if the 17 is going to be a big step, I don't care because the upgrade was much needed. There is always an option to sell it before the drop and get the new one.

100% anything before a 13 Pro Max is a huge upgrade imo and worth it. Anything after 13 Pro Max I feel, only if you need the specific tools then yeah that’s justified. Anyway, Enjoy your new phone!!
