That happened to me too but in a different way, I got jester and just kept silent for 2 nights, on the 3rd i had noticed the players who keep under the radar and vote quick on certain ppl, so I called out 2 ppl in will and 2 others threw sus On, these were the last evils, they all voted me, i won as jester but just for shits and giggles haunted one of them and vigi killed another, town seeing this said fuck it, and followed jester Will, They won that game.

@@PsytheZero yeah srsly mate I even made a mental note to just watch the chat and after 2 nights at most i could just feel the evils but somehow that only works when I have a neutral role something like having an outside view of the situation, but I only seem to get 2 or evils a game If I'm lucky if 2 townies get voted to the stand, evils tend to vote 1st pretty quick or hesitate and change votes ONCE. Once as a vigilante i hit the godfather, Ww, arso in the same game, it was all any. And got hanged because they thought i was SK

This is kind of an old strategy so that's prob why they clocked it. I would try it again if I were you, but try "wanna side with me" instead because it will most likely keep town and mafia freaking out

My last game I was jest I claimed doc early on hoping that one of the people I said I was protecting would die or town would call me out for not protecting a certain player. I posted my will late after I was already upped and said “sorry I was eating” then proceeded to get lynched.

I haven't played Town of Salem for years so I can't remember how most things worked. Can someone tell me if there's a reason why Pipe votes "inno in case Jest" instead of abstaining? Wouldn't abstaining decrease the probability of the vote result being inno and still save you from potential jester?

They changed the game so that if you abstain you can still get haunted. The only way to not get haunted now is to vote innocent.

Oh man oh man. Abstaining does not guarantee you don't die to jester haunt. Ive been in games where I accidentally abstain and I die to jester because I abstained. The jest can be the type to haunt abstainers cause they may be afk. I've been there. So tldr, he votes inno cause that's the only way to guarantee you don't get haunted by jester because you can get haunted if you abstain.

yeah i hadnt played for a long time too, but recently started playing again, and i made the mistake of abstaining on jest on a game i probably could of won if i also didnt walk into a vet that still had an alert...but also if i would of voted inno the jest wouldnt of gotten hung since it would of tied the votes, so i just lost no matter what i did lmao

ive played this game for a long time and i suck at lying so its hard for me to win but a method i like to use that is probably not that helpful is i always have the investigator results up on my phone from the town of salem wiki so when im evil i can claim something else that shows up to invest in the same row that i am, for example i had a disguiser game yesterday and if i was investigated it would show up as doc, disguiser or serial killer, so i claimed doc since its hard to prove if i actually am a doc or not and i won that game by making jailor think i was doc the whole time, (dont claim doc as sk though, if they know there is a sk in the game any doc claimed will be hung,) but there are a few roles this doesnt work for like vamp, when im vamp i like to claim lookout, doc, or vigilante since they are hard to prove as fake most of the time except for vig, but i will tell you i lose a lot so maybe this isnt good advice

Have multiple fake claims ready with at least one in your invest results in case there’s an invest, then don’t come forward with your claim until necessary so that you can choose the most advantageous one (unless you’re going with a TI claim where it’s best to actually act like a TI and post ASAP.)

I need a bit of help figuring something out. I had a very confusing game the other day. I was a Spy & N1 I was killed by the GF but the maf never visited me according to my spy info, I was not transd nor was I killed by an amb. I was 8 and N1 maf visited 3,5,6,12[none of them died]. There was 1 coven visit but it was not a CL, it was a HM who was killed by a Crus. I was not transd, not killed by an amb & there was no Cl in the game so how did the GF kill me when he never visited me? I also had another game that kinda confused me but also made me very angry. I was a GA confirmed and I was hung day 2 for no reason & after they hung me people asked Why did we vote & guilty the Confirmed GA? The IDIOT Mayor revealed just to guilty the confirmed GA. I went on strike for the rest of the game cause they didn't deserve the help of a GA they lynched day 2. My target was a townie and town had maj until they lynched me then they started to loose. That is Karma for ya imo. Hang a confirmed GA and you will loose.

The spy and disguiser interaction is one a plenty of players don't get. Even those who have played Salem for a while. So, the way it works is, the disguiser will hide the visits of the person they disguised from the spy. If disguiser picked the mafia killing, that means the person who died to mafia won't show up in your MVs. Disguising mafia killing in a spy game can really screw the mafia over if town knows about this interaction, since it hard-confirms one of the mafia visits that night as a mafia killing. I've actually done exe plays like this, where I fake claimed spy if no one else did, didn't put the killed person as one of MVs and put my target as one of the visits. I'll either feign confusion about the visits if there seem to be good players who know about the interaction so that no one accuses me of being exe, or I'll simply start the push for roles of MVs myself if no one pays attention to the visits. I hope it makes sense after the explanation!
