@@paulbaillairge3389 quite right Paul. This is what people just don’t seem to get. Max has won his first title and good on him even though it was very controversial. Even in the years his car wasn’t as competitive Lewis still won a Grand Prix the only driver to have won a race in every single season. There is a ton of other stats too. Even Schumacher said he thought it likely Hamilton would break his records as ‘what he’s done in such a short time is remarkable’ I’ve been watching F1 for 30 years and to me he’s the greatest and he’s stats back that up. Bottas himself said the way he can react to changes is one of his best attributes whether that is purely track conditions or the car itself. We have a long way to go and pre season testing is no signal to the actual season but he still looks decent at 37!!!

Hamilton like all greats Motorsport aged like a fine wine. Loeb made WRC comeback at 47 in Monte Carlo 2022. He went straight on the pace on Monte Carlo first stage outing to secondly from his nemesis, other GOAT candidate and his compatriot Ogier. Nothing holding back his glory days speed at this age because his speed at glory days was genuine. The pace of old Loeb - Citroen combined isn’t massively came from the car only, but Loeb pace was there in genuine. 10 years older Schumacher shouldn't have performed like a mediocre driver to his prime. One thing even more impressive is Loeb was always be Citroen man. He drove a Hyundai in 2020. New team and straight on the pace. 2 years later having grab recently runner up spot in Dakar, He then drove a M-Sport in 2022. Once again new car, new team, and OC new rule to adapt first before finding pace. He still went straight on the pace to his nemesis Ogier the reigning world champion. GOAT drivers can adapt to any car timelessly. It seems age is just a number in 4 wheels Motorsport racing. Being 47 wouldn’t make you lost your genuine speed from your old-time glory days, unless the pace from your car had massively advantage to others in the past.

Despite the best efforts of all those who conspired against fairness & integrity, Sir Lewis remains as dignified as ever. I don't see why the race results cannot be changed to what it should have been i.e. the safety car should have remained out on track until the end of the race. Yes no-one wants to see races finish behind the safety car but hey there was a crash on track during the closing stages of a Grand Prix so what do people expect to happen. In hindsight maybe a red flag would have been more appropriate but what actually happened was an absolute farce. We've got a motor race on our hands you know!!!

As I have said on other platforms Lewis is “the Class of the field”, last years loss was due to a rogue FIA official, like Lewis just said Max took advantage of the conditions that were presented to him, through rather dubious circumstances…… I’m calming down now after that mugging in the desert, but I am reflecting on the situation if the circumstances were reversed…. The dignity of Mercedes and Lewis has been impeccable, would the same be said of Red Bull, Christian, Max and especially Herman…… I’m not that sure…..?
