Absolute class from Lewis at the end. It's hard to hear but after the mics are down he says to Heikki "I hope you don't look negatively at Silverstone", clearly referencing the comment Heikki made about Lewis lapping him there in a race back when they were teammates.

This was a good honest interview, and then near the end it felt like they forgot it was an interview and we're having a catch up with an old mate. It's clear that they get on well and have a lot of respect for each other. It's also clear that Lewis is hugely competitive. Can't remember a lot of stuff but can remember (possibly) winning a game of golf on a specific weekend in 2009!

Brilliant interview. Well done for letting Lewis speak and asking genuinely smart questions. Lewis is a man at peace. It is obvious. He got absolutely stripped of an 8th title and then forced to drive a poor car and he has remained calm and humble throughout. Telling when compared to someone who currently has it all screaming into his helmet an berrating his team. He so deserves one last, great car.

@@OfficialPuvve and a car that was faster for 3/4th of the season, and with rules being broken, which failed to be rectified by the stewards, one of whom has a Honda dealership, travels with Red Bull and called this otherworldly driver the 'Great White Hope'.. With the FIA revealing in the subsequent investigation that said Race Director made a 'human error'.. Obviously WE are biased. Kindly open your eyes and mind, if possible, and acknowledge the severely unfair manner in which the rightful winner of the race as well as a record-breaking 8th title was cheated out of a win and thus a title in a year where he made one of the greatest comebacks ever in a F1 titles race as well.

Lewis on saanut uskomattoman paljon kritiikkiä kasuaaleilta faneilta. :)

when Lewis said there's new people on the team, i reminded with some Mercedes engineer that hired by Red Bull (15 hired out of 100 offered) to create their own PU. But looking at Honda extended contract to 2025 and rumors about purchasing Redbull for 2026 (coincidentally there's a leak of documents about Porsche that in 2026 will have 50% stake in Redbull F1 operation), it might be a new era dominance of Hybrid power unit.

I clicked for Heikki and he was great but Lewis surprised me with his open conversation. In my opinion Lewis decided after Nicole Scherzinger that he would not be vulnerable in the press ever again and became very guarded in every interview. I always skip the postrace interviews with him because of the awkward interactions Lewis has. It's good to know he can still relax in an interview and I hope he would focus a bit on his communication choices so his messages beyond racing can be heard

He never says it because that's not what happened. He could have pitted for tyres. He didn't. He could have not left the door wide open for his opponent on the last lap of the last race. He didn't. He also doesn't say that because it's libelous. Saying that would open him up to about $100 billion law suit. He's smarter than you.
@pr3cious1932 жыл бұрын
@@fiarandompenaltygeneratorm5044 Absolutely delusional. You Lewis haters keep exposing yourselves as highlights watchers who don't actually watch races and have no idea what's going on on track. He couldn't pit because max would do the opposite to him and gain track position and according to the rules the safety car was supposed to go in a lap after the lapped cars unlapped themselves which didn't happen, the strategists expected the rules to be followed and that didn't happen, there's no way they're pitting him when according to the rules the race will end under safety car. The Mercedes 1 stop strategy was working great as he had an 11 second gap to Max, there's no way max could make up that gap with the few laps remaining. In addition only the lapped cars between Max and Lewis were allowed to unlap themselves, the race director picking and choosing who gets to be unlapped is also a variable the strategists couldn't account for as that doesn't happen, what was supposed to happen was all lapped cars were supposed to unlap themselves and then the safety car would come in on the next lap after the un lapped cars have rejoined at the back of the pack, that didn't happen. He didn't not leave the door open, when you're on dead hard tyres the car is a lot harder to control and hit those apexes as you basically have no grip whatsoever after max overtook him he tried fighting back for a few corners but quickly started falling behind, showing just how dead those tires were. It's crazy you're supposedly an f1 fan yet you don't understand how dead hards with no grip negatively impacts braking, turning and acceleration. Also the fia literally admitted the turnout of events at Abu dhabi last year was due to human error on the side of Masi. The fia literally admitted they made a mistake, Lewis didnt try to start a ruckus by claiming they stole it because he's got class, something people like you clearly lack.
Well I didn't have to say a thing!! U do realise that in previous races MadMax drove SLH off the track when he tries to pass around the outside (no pentaly 4 MadMax) when SLH did the same to MadMax but actually stayed on track HE got a STERN Warning!! SLH can't behave like MadMax n got away with it!!!🤔🤔😒😒 Sorry but TRUE!!

@@pr3cious193 My thoughts exactly. I've followed F1 for a very long time. I see these comments everywhere. They are new generation high light watchers as you said. They know nothing about the strategy and technicals behind F1. Pathetic. Only interested in bullying people who cannot defend themselves. They do realize that Max is not old in F1. They act as if he has been there for a long time like he is the best. OHHHHH, Max spun in Hungary and still won the race, and that's coming from tenth place......Maybe look at Lewis in F3. Spun and ended up in 19th....Finished 2nd. Let's see Max do that.
