The Four Dimensions Of The Mind.
Sadhguru looks at how in the yogic system, the mind is seen as having 16 parts. He looks at four fundamental parts - the buddhi or intellect, the ahankara or identity, the manas or memory and chitta, which is pure intelligence.
He explains how modern societies have given too much significance to the intellect, which has led to a skewed way of approaching life. He also explains that if we can touch chitta, we have access to the source of creation.
Four parts of mind 00:02:45
1) buddhi or intellect, 00:02:56
2) the ahankara or identity, 00:04:45
3) the manas or memory 00:06:34
4) chitta, which is pure intelligence. 00:08:40
So, the fourth dimension of the mind is called as chitta. Chitta means it’s pure intelligence. It is unsullied by memory, it has no trace of any kind of memory, it’s just pure intelligence. If you touch this, then you have access to what you are referring as the source of creation because all kinds of things might have been fed to you - god is this, god is love, god is compassion, god is kind, what… whatever . All these things have been made up because whatever somebody is deprived of, they will attribute that quality to their idea of god.
Your ideas of god have come only because you do not know what… how this whole creation happened. Because you don’t have an answer, you made it up. Because you are human being, you said, “A big human being is sitting up there. Oh, how can he do all this?” if somebody asked, he has ten hands, so he does lot of things not like you, whatever. It’s all right for children but essentially, because you do not how creation happened, you are coming up with explanations. So, that which is the source of creation - don’t believe what I say, what anybody says - pay attention to one piece of creation. Just take a flower, pay attention to this, pay an attention to a leaf or an atom or an ant - all you will see is phenomenal intelligence beyond anything you can imagine. Yes?
But nobody told you, “God is intelligence.” But this culture has said this to you in many ways - they told you chidhakasha, chidambara and so many things to tell you, if you touch your chit, the whole existence becomes yours. Everything that’s worth knowing is right here because you have access to the source of creation.

Interesting, but generally in the scriptures and specially in tantra shastras, the concepts of chitta, manas and buddhi are different from what Sadhguru explains. Chitta comprehends the whole mind: manas (lower mind, including the intelect), ahankara (ego) and buddhi (higher mind). Chitta includes it all, and that is why Patanjali said "yoga chitta vritti nirodha": yoga is the supression (nirodha) of the fluctuations (vritti) of the whole mind (chitta). Buddhi is not the intelect (intelect is inside manas, the "lower" mind). Buddhi is the highest level of the mind, it is pure intelligence (perfect perception and perfect intuition on the true nature of everything - a reflection of the Self or purusha, or atman), and those who have mastered that level of consciousness are, of course, called "buddhas". Now I'm not calling Sadhguru wrong, for it might be just a matter of semantics and/or a matter of points of view (Samkhya and Vedanta, for instance - in Vedanta, usually the word chitta means what is on the top of everything). But let everyone keep in mind that, in sanskrit, the correct use of terminology and words in general is crucial, because every word is like a mantra, and can be as powerful as a mantra, for good or evil.

So true. But Sadhguru said, if your mind has turned against you, it’s because you don’t have a strong foundation. The foundation is built throughout childhood. He mentioned that one needed a nurturing environment for that. But how many people really had that? Once the wiring is set during your entire childhood thru thousands of interactions it’s a very difficult thing to change. And so people grow up to be grown wounded children, tormented by their minds. It takes a lifetime sometimes to undo it if it can be undone at all.

Without humility which is to show the universe or supreme God that you know nothing, you will try to exalt yourself above the the force of heaven and be your own God which is a dead end. The way to show that you know nothing is to think of nothing and only be in the moment do not try to control your emotions or thought but watch Dem give suggestions without fallen for their trap to lure you out of God into thinking you know it all cus no one can and he who let's himself think he knows anything will go mad and eventually knowing Nothing in the eyes of men.
