The folks over at ‪@ikmultimedia‬ have just released an update to Amplitube 5 which streamlines the process of utilizing Tonex tone models within Amplitube. This is a great update which should make the use of Tonex much easier for those users working this way. I really hope you enjoy the video and the new update and tone models.

Yep installed it already today... big improvement! I see the IK promo video shows the Tonex App with modulation and delay on the top toolbar..... hopefully a new Tonex update coming soon for the app and pedal to add modulation and delay!!! Tonex pedal with modulation and delay would make it close to perfect for me...

Birlliant; yesterday while using Tonex and then Amplitube, I was hoping for a more seamless way for both pieces of software to compliment each other. This does it, thank-you Jason for your excellent presets and tutorials on this great software.

This is all good stuff and nice to see. The previous integration between Tonex and Amplitube software was definitely lacking. That said I got Tonex specifically for live playing direct. The only feature/improvement I really want to see at this point is an editor for the pedals. I hate the current workflow and I can never get Tonex on my computer to sounds quite like it does on the pedal. I would much rather just be able to do live changes on the pedal to get things how I want them to be. Trying to tweak on the app and then load to the pedal is a pain. Going back and forth is cumbersome (maybe I am missing something here but I have always found this to be a challenge and what I hear on the computer never quite matches what gets loaded on the pedal). Another thing that might be cool from a software perspective is if they made Amplitube/Tonex on iOS to be have feature parity with the desktop versions. It would be really cool to have a portable feature packed Amplitube/Tonex on a mobile platform.

Can you make presets from amplitube and bring them as presents into tonex? ie. add a drive pedal before the amp. then bring that in as a new preset? i kinda feel like having stompdrives in tonex is pointless if you can put them in front of an amp model.

With some crafty routing, this can be done through the capture process. I’ve done this a couple of times.

THIS is exactly what’s needed. “EXPORT TO TONEX”! I know there are ways to do it, but long winded capture methods, we need a native way to do it.

Ugh, I was waiting for him to say “And you can now export as a preset back to TONEX” but NOPE …. 😢 . @ TONEX - At least allow us to add a boost pedal in front of a capture and save as a preset , PLEASE!!!
