As a dutch man i am proud of him and proud to be dutch. We are like the lions on our jersey. I am 100% dutch, But it feels amazing to grow up and live together with people from Suriname (like virgils mother). They are one of the kindest and wisest people I know. Unfortunatly I had a really bad injury to my knee, and for my own health it was best to not play football or kickboks anymore, So i quit training for matches, but I never quit training in general. I know I will have to find another dream in my life and I will never make it in to the pro league(or any football match at all). But people like Van Dijk inspired me to look at the bright side. I went to economic school and pushed myself in to university. Now I got my own company, where I take care of people's financial situation. I might never be as succesfull as van Dijk, But the moral of this story from a stranger is to never give up. Even when the world takes away the one thing that you love, you still have yourself, and as long as you accept the situation you are in, and work like hell to get out of it, you are IMO a true lion.
